Why do they name storms.When i was young it used to be a deepening Atlantic low will bring gale force winds to the North of the country.That was it.I was always told never go out in storm force winds.Risk of flying debris.

It’s really frustrating. All through the week you at least give a hint as to what will happen 2 or 3 days ahead. As soon as the weekend weather arrives that all stops as if Mondays and Tuesdays don’t exist. Is this some weird contract you have with the BBC about Country File or Farming Today? Some of us need to plan. I can get info from other sources which give at least some sort of clue..it’s annoying I can’t get it from you.
