zverev gameplay is outrageous right now

Is there something about the CA split step that is different? It seems more pronounced and slightly earlier than others?

Just trying to get an understanding on how and why his movement is so much better than everyone else's!

I am from Norway and as you expect a huge Ruud fan, I really wished that he would win this game, I even put 25$ on Stake but its ok because eventho he lost I still think he played at a high level and he had the chance to win against Zverev which is already a good sign that Ruud is back in top form 😁

Over the years, Zverev's brother Mischa has been a major contributor to his volley improvement. In 2017, Mischa was among the final players to serve and volley, as I recall.

If Alcaraz bt Zverev 6-2, 6-3 and Ruud bt Rublev with identical score, Zverev will be out. Same scenario like the WTA Semifinals.

Sometimes you just have to marvel. Alcaraz and Rublev...those guys are both just SO GOOD. About one out of three of those shots is something an amateur would brag for a year about returning. Amazing skill.

Zverev is in good form, I don’t really agree he’ll never win a slam as some people seem to think. His chance should come, especially if Sinner was suspended for a while.

Rudd is playing so well, but Zeverev is playing insane.

Apologizing for a net clip in tennis feels unnecessary - it's part of the game. When the ball clips the net and doesn't go over, no one apologizes for winning the point. Tennis is full of unpredictable moments, and rather than dwelling on them, it makes more sense to carry on and focus on the next point. Let's leave the apologies off the court and keep the focus on the game itself.

Zverev's volleys have improved so much compared to the recent Paris Masters, and his forehand is actually causing problems for the opponent, will be a very exciting match against Sinner, I'm rooting for him to win this one.

Once again, we had proof of the natural talent that Alcaraz has. It doesn't matter how much he'd win, he's the only player in activity with lethal combination of talent and hard work. Sinner is great but he has to work harder than Alcaraz to get to the same and higher level, as he doesn't have the same natural skills. As recent past has taught us, super hard work could overcome combination of talent and work, anyway.

ruud really needs to be smarter some times. so many opportunities to kill points and he just sends the ball back to where zverev can easily hit it
