Very nice that you visited my home town.
ОтветитьDeana, not all people call everything a salad, the Brits call everything a pudding. 🤔
ОтветитьMy son works and lives in Stuttgart. I really love the city and very much enjoy going around.
ОтветитьFleischsalat sandwiches!
ОтветитьButter stuffed pretzels.🥂
ОтветитьWe have different versions of chesse cakes. Not each Taste is the same. But a real cheesecake have no Pudding inside. 😅
ОтветитьAmerican bread is best at making you think you have a gluten sensitivity. My wife can't eat most of the American bread here even at fancy bakeries. It depends what wheat they use but most of wheat here trigger her stomach pain. When we go back to Germany, she can eat all the bread and anything else made with EU flour.
ОтветитьMy mother was raised in esslingen. She moved back to Stuttgart when we all moved stateside. I went to visit her every year. Stuttgart food was a lot different than food in Hessen where we grew up. I really miss rindswurst.
ОтветитьDude I could get better bread at any Aral station in Hamburg than anything in USA. C'mon bro enough of the nonsense.
ОтветитьI am a real "Schwabe" and Stuttgart was my place to live before i moved to hamburg. And yes, Stuttgart is not the most beautiful city but also not ugly. To me it´s kinda hate/love thing. You hate it, you love it. But everytime i´m coming back i feel instantly home and that´s what counts. Stuttgart is not spectacular, but has his charme somehow. Bout food i can say Schwaben has the best food in germany and i have been everywhere in germany. Only the bavarians has great food as well. Here i hamburg the north of germany food is kinda totally boring.
ОтветитьMy grandmother was from schwabia so I grew up surrounded by sausage. I only liked 3 , liverwurst, gelbwurst and mettwurst. Like Phil, I’d get nauseous after 3 bites of wurst salad🤪🤣
ОтветитьAs someone who grew up in or around Stuttgart, I have to agree that the inner city isn't as as beautiful as some others. It has its nice spots, e.g. in some parks or certain streets. It does get a bit nicer towards the hills around the center, where you have a lot of great views, vineyards, or views over the Neckar river. There are also fewer concrete-block-buildings out there.
ОтветитьI just visited and was not impressed. I also did not have a good experience as a black woman tourist wanting to spend my money and having unfriendly locals. I spent my time more touring the museums and going out of the city as the city became too much for me. Talk about a local screaming at me while paying at the counter in the supermarket to get off the queue and stop speaking English. Never visiting again. I did enjoy the sausages, one of the best I have had, in the Christmas market but I'll pass on the bread and heavy pastries.
ОтветитьStuttgart was an industrial town, during WW2 it was logically bombarded to stop Hitlers war machinery. They replaced the destroyed old houses with modern ones. No wonder out Stuttgart is ugly.
ОтветитьI was sceptic the whole video .. and than he actually said "Basically a Raviolli Rip-Off" than i realized --> Oh yeah this guy is from the north and doesn't know shit about swabian cuisine. So yeah good video !
ОтветитьEating Wurstsalad without eating from the bread in the same bite is criminal. No wonder it wasn't your thing. Gotta it the right way 😂
And then saying most German Bread is bad? What the.... 😂
Ameican bread cheese and sausage ist nithing compared to german
ОтветитьDas ist kein schwäbischer Wurstsalat. Ihr habt da einen nach Schweizer Art. Schwäbischer ist mit Blutwurst.
ОтветитьThats not a schwäbisch wurstsalat, the original is without cheese and with blutwurschd😂😅
ОтветитьStuttgart was heavily bombed in WW2, so there are only a few historic buildings.
ОтветитьI am originally from Stuttgart and still live here (20 kilometers from the city center). The hillside areas (when you enter the city center) are indeed the most beautiful parts of the city (with a nice view over the city). But the actual city center, e.g. around the main station, is rather standard indeed. However, the "Schlossgarten", especially the "Rosensteinpark" and "Wilhelma" (Stuttgart Zoo) as well as the "Killesberg" are really nice! The other areas up the hills with the panorama views are the really beautiful too and the highlights of Stuttgart, in my opinion.
ОтветитьTypical German summer dish. But it depends on the vinaigrette.😊
ОтветитьIch habe Linsengemüse mit Spätzle u. Wienerle gestern in Freiburg i. Br. gegessen.
Ответитьcool
Ответитьlustig: wurstsalat mit mortadella und deutsches brot schlechter als das amerikanische kastenweissbrot aus der fabrik.
ОтветитьStuttgart looks very pretty. I like the checkered tablecloths & eating outdoors even in cool weather. However Bavaria still seems to represent Germany better. I don't know why. My ancestors were from both areas. Does Stuttgart offer Schweineshaxe? Schweineshaxe is my current passion.
ОтветитьGermany 🇩🇪 f❤❤❤
ОтветитьMy fav I love that yummmm
ОтветитьI was there in 1987 it has changed a lot
ОтветитьDude, no discussion: Germany got the best bread and the best beer. Fact. You can talk about everything else. 😄
ОтветитьWaldorf/heidelberg vinigar potato salid.
ОтветитьMy aunt made apple sauce and spatzel that were breaded. She said this was a common war time dish.
Was wonderbar. I still make it today.
I must heartily disagree on the bread comment! Germany has the *best bread I’ve ever er had and I travel!
Ответитьhave you ever been to australia?
ОтветитьJust watched this for the second time and wanted to say maultaschen in Stuttgart is so amazingly good!!! While it superficially resembles giant ravioli, there is otherwise no comparison. Maultaschen has a nice herbal blend inside, the pasta is much nicer and I agree with Phil that the toasted onions add a nice touch. So far, it's one of my favorite dishes in Germany.
ОтветитьSorry thats all but not a swabian sausage salad
ОтветитьWie kommt Ihr nach Stuttgart, meine Heimat. Die B14, die Weinsteige runter... Großer, Kleiner Schloßplatz, Königstr. ... Wurstsalat und Mortadella? Das ist Schinkenwurst, mein Lieber😉!
ОтветитьSchaut Mal bei Bürger nach....die haben jedwede Art von Maultaschen im Sortiment. ;-)
ОтветитьThats rude to compare Baden-Württemberg with shity Bavaria
Its very annoying when people of other countrys (especialy americans) thing of germany they Stereotypical havr a Picture in mind of people from Bavaria
That is the area of my heritage. My Grandmother made Spätzle, as do I. Mine are not shaped like noodles and are served with browned butter crackers and onion. My favorite meat is Sweinhaxen with crispy fat/skin. Oh my.
ОтветитьPlease go to Murnau !!!
ОтветитьYou need to come back to Stuttgart during 'Besen' season, late fall thru winter, then again in early spring. It is the best for traditional food since Stuttgart has become very trendy/international, which is nice but when you want Oma's cooking ❤ and Stuttgart is just forever under construction... walked down Königstraße the other day and there was all of a sudden just a giant hole in the middle of the city...when it happened, I have no idea. And the Hauptbahnhof.... only second to the Berlin airport.
ОтветитьBread in a lot of countries around the globe, including US, UK, Canada is chemically induced garbage and unhealty. The best bread can be found in bakeries in Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands. But even there the supermarket bread is not really good (but mostly better than US, UK, etc).
ОтветитьSausage salad ist like Mortadella-Salad? Mortadella ist not German. And is cheese. Grats 😉
ОтветитьMy grandma and my great aunt were from Stuttgart area alot of my grandma cooking was base from that area thank you for sharing the blog
ОтветитьTolles Video und schön das es euch in Stuttgart gefallen hat. 👍
ОтветитьStuggart looks bland and basic, and its unfortunate because it is a ruch city...
ОтветитьHeaded to Stuttgart on Friday. Thank you so much for this video. Looking forward to trying some of these things.
