We see a lot of episodes online of this terrific music series pairing up diverse artists, but several episodes seem to be missing - BetaGems has the complete series, as well as sister show Sunday Night. This edition from 3-26-89 features performances cut from other episodes, including Robert Cray jamming with John Hiatt, Squeeze with co-host Jools Holland, Senegalese singer Youssou N'Dour, and David Sanborn. BetaGems also has "Squeeze 10-2-87 late night TV performance," "Squeeze 7-6-81 performance in Reseda CA," "Squeeze acoustic soundcheck November 1985," "John Hiatt 7-14-90 late night TV performance," "U.S. Top of the Pops 10-2-87 Los Lobos, Squeeze, Steve Winwood, more," "Night Music 1-22-89 Squeeze, Sam Moore, Stanley Turrentine," "Squeeze 2-5-88 late night TV performance," "Night Music 11-18-89 Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Julee Cruise," "Night Music 3-3-90 Clapton & Cray, Warren Zevon, Charlie Haden," "Robert Cray TV interview 6-13-87."

BetaGems are culled from an archive of over 1000 beta video tapes recorded from 1983 into the 1990s. Most feature live music performances broadcast on television in San Diego CA. Most of the tapes were recorded on a Sony SL-HFT7 Super Beta Theater Hi-Fi Stereo - the same model was refurbished and used for these digital transfers and uploads.
