When they were 0,7nm (1300m) distance verity made mistake altering course in his starboard side. Then polesie made mistake also altering course to starboard. Vessels were leaving their ports I can assume the reason was fatigue. Ports are extremally exhausting nowadays and IMO should do something about it. The rush in ports is very unhealthy for crew

ОтветитьPolesie's course change to port at 2:50 UTC was most likely no collision avoidance manoeuvre, but reflects the further course of the traffic separation scheme of roughly 256°. Some three minutes later, Polesie changed course further to port, which to me looks like an attempt to avoid a collision. Roughly at the same time (and far too late), Verity also starts its collision avoidance manoeuvre to starboard. I would like to know if the officers talked over the radio in order to coordinate their manoeuvres. It doesn't look like they did, though.
