The evenly proportioned majestic structure of the Fir tree transmits its upright energy to the person looking at it. The essential oil of Fir is obtain through steam distillation of the fresh twigs with needles. 50 kg usually yield 1 kg of essential oil. Every oil of Conifers is obtained not only from the needles but from the twigs with needles and sometimes also the cones. The botanical genus name for Fir is “Aries” but also other Conifers can be called “Fir”. This video will present three Fir: Hemlock Fir (Tsuga canadensis), Balsam Fir (Abies balsamea),Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga douglasii)
