This movie is hard to reboot or doesn't need to be, you cannot surpass the original. Since we are in the computer age and A.I. is rapidly developing, a movie that is based or inspired from Short Circuit will be reconsider. They have to recreate everything not recycle, and robot number 5 must be redesign.

I watched this in the USSR in the cinema. I was a school kid then. Sunday morning, 11 o'clock All characters in the movie, except robot, talked so fast for my ear. Those Americans they talk really fast. Couldn't understand a thing what's going on, until robots appeared, so creepy, and then the comedy kicked in.Good fun ! Comedy saved this stuff. And the heroine was 10 out 10, real lady.

How is it that I was born in 1985, and have seen the sequel a million times growing up, but have never seen this?

I loved this movie as a kid. It's very unsettling watching this as an adult and fisher Stevens is wearing brown face pretending to be indian.....yikes 😳
