I've never heard of him and have no idea what the song it.

Everytime I hear this song I cant help but think of the video with Stephen Colbett playing Ukulele and singing this song to that little kid he was going to molest.

'Making Mirrors' is such a superb album... aside from the deeply affecting mega-success 'Somebody', I especially loved the album track 'State Of The Art' (which has a most entertaining animated promo video). Nevertheless, it's rather a shame that he didn't continue to make more music under the Gotye moniker. Still, I guess it's great that he is still working with The Basics at least .

It's interesting listening about his musical influences as I ALWAYS think of Peter Gabriel when hearing this track. However, I do love Mr. Gabriel.

That song is heartbreakingly beautiful. Tragic that he isn't going forward, because the previous music is amazing. He deserves to be looked at more. His talent is so plentiful. Hope he'll come back.

If anyone has listened to the basics , which they are fine, but nothing groundbreaking , you can understand a lot behind Gotye.
