I've been testing washes from different companies recently and today I demonstrate Games Workshop Shades, Army Painter Tones, and Vallejo Game Color Washes for Napoleonic Miniatures. I was keen to find out which of their black, brown, and sepia washes works best as an all over wash for rapidly shading Napoleonic figures so have run this test. I have used plastic Perry, Warlord, and Victrix French in greatcoats for this test. The base colour paints are the same and listed below. I hope you find this experiment interesting.
