I actually always preferred this way of doing academic essays: asides from the abstract, which describes the main points, I would also state my main conclusion/argument in the introduction of my essay. And then the rest of the paper would be me arguing my case and showing the data and analysis that proves my point. It's much easier for the reader to know where the writer is going and can follow along in often complex ramblings about power structures, etc.
Really sweet to know that this is the communcation approach preferred by consultants! I'm getting more tempted of going that route after seeing your vids on it!
