Can the Samsung Gaming Hub Replace An Xbox?

This is an xbox. Your phone is an xbox. Your PC, Laptop, Even your mom is an xbox.

I recently purchased a Samsung S90D to game on an OLED screen. I have a 1-gig fiber connection with low latency, and the TV is connected via ethernet — so no wireless worries. However, using the online Xbox option through the Gaming Hub resulted in constant stutter and hiccuping, even on low-action scenes in the Mass Effect series. I was told this is due to me living in a rural area that is too far away from any of the Xbox server-side locations.

Xbox is ditching its console

I use xbox cloud gaming on my 27” imac. I pay for higher speed internet and it works flawless. I get lags rarely here n there but its about the same you would get sometimes on a console. I only play games casually so its perfect for me.

I mean that’s kind of cool but Xbox Cloud Gaming isn’t all that great. Not enough selections.

Would this be good enough for a use to be gamer? I use to play the PlayStation 3 and sold it and stopped playing games. I want to get back into it but only casually. We have a Samsung series 8 tv.

Correction its not an xbox in a warehouse. XBOX is running a special version of Windows and they just have that on some super powerful Azure virtual machines that turn on as needed and use the cloud save data that is tied to the user.

Consoles are getting very expensive $600-$700 for the mid gen consoles the ps6/xbox next mite be around $900-$1000...........all you need is a current tv and a fast internet connection.

with xbox letting pc game pass be on gforce now its a good deal.

i still got the first release of xbox one, been wanting to upgrade to xbox x for a while now as its on its way out can hear the fan giving everything it got but my tv screen started showing faint lines at bottom, so had to make choice of getting new one didn't notice this feature till after so now i can keep the other other tv as spare with xbox for when friends come over win win really, also got it on my laptop top. will deffo need to upgrade to the series x for likes of call of duty etc though

I have a one more case for your list. I have owned consoles in the past but not for 10 years or so. I now bought a new tv since the old one broke down. Now I have the option to try some games and see if I still want to play games without investing in a console. Just a controller is needed.

I have a ps5 and a switch. I don’t want a 3rd console but playing some xbox titles this way is great. Sure, it doesn’t look perfect but it’s good enough.

I think Cloud will be a viable alternative to console gaming some day, but that day isn't today. It probably won't be for another decade when latency and image quality while streaming improve greatly

Got q70b, got both amazon luna (it comes free with Prime, some games to play monthly and be able to link Ubisoft Account and play all games there that i bought) and xbox game pass. Feels good 👍 , that's hella of a TV man ❤. Why bother expensive games and console, this works great, recommend Samsung TV ftw. Recently try those free to play games Samsung and BlackNut promo until Feb, in love with cloud gaming 😍
