Centrifugal not Centripetal force

I'm 64 and just started to learn golf so I can spend quality time with my neighbors who all golf. I have watched many of your videos and have struggled to get it. This video FINALLY clicked for me. I love the thought of ELASTIC arms and allowing the 3 forces you describe to take over. It's a beautifully simple concept that's been VERY difficult for me to execute. After this video I feel like I'm getting there.

Thank you for continuing to share the secrets of the Easiest Swing!

I was just watching videos of Jack Nicholas's swing, and I was surprised by how hard and fast he swung the club. The opposite of this method.

Philip, I'm a new subscriber, and am really appreciating your lessons. I wanted to ask you about ball position. Do you play the ball in the center of your stance, or do you have different positions according to the club?

Your excellent video is about hitting longer with less effort. Do we assume that less effort leads to less clubhead speed which leads to longer carry? If so could you give examples? In your video what is your clubhead speed? In comparision what is for it Rory or Tiger and what is the average speed for a low handicap club player?

TERRIFIC video Phil!
Here’s my dilemma… When trying to increase club head speed with the Swing Caddy I’m finding myself squeezing the grip tighter as I try to swing faster.
Will swinging with just one hand using just my thumb and forefinger help reduce this?
Thanks

I've been trying to incorporate these ideas (+ La Danse and more upright stance) but I find myself pulling the ball left most of the time. Lack of rotation is my guess. Any ideas?

Philip , Your talking about a Mike Austin swing centrifugal allowing the force to move out and away , Centripetal is pulling the outer force in . Are you suggesting to pull the force in as it is pulling out centripetal ?

I noticed that you move off the ball on your back swing, doesn’t this cause inconsistency in the strike?

Another excellent video Philip & many thanks, it certainly has worked for me over the past 18 months, dropped from 18 handicap to 14, hitting it better & with more confidence, getting the book next ✌

I don’t disagree with this argument but if you watch the pros they absolutely look like they’re putting in a tremendous amount of effort. Rory and even Scottie scheffler practically come out their shoes when they swing.

I have been trying the effortless swing for a few weeks now but so far my club head speed is 2 to 3 miles per hour slower with the easy swing. I'm concerned that the easy swing is not easy to learn.

I find this is correct. At the driving range I am relaxed hitting really good shots but on the course tension creeps in

What a pleasant experience it is Philip to view your videos. Your demeanor in your delivery is quite unique compared to some other channels. This video with the three elements to an effortless swing is very apropos for senior golfers. I'm at the age where I have to adhere to your advice because strength is no longer going to propel that golf ball of mine. I am now using a lighter grip, gravity, centripetal force, and club design to assist me. It's amazing, if all these align themselves, how effortless it is to hit a golf ball! Now, if I could only avoid those three putts! Well Done Philip! I am going to archive this video for future viewing!

Terminal velocity is 32 feet per second squared. I’m sure Pe meant 34 feet per second squared. Great video Phil. This is what I was talking about before. All these forces are unseen but they affect everything thing. Especially the a swinging and turning motion. The golf swing is “invisible”.

I get the part about relaxing and letting gravity do it's bit but how do you make sure the club will hit the same place (ball) when it comes down? I really like your swing and wish i could learn it. I started learning golf in my 40s with no background in sports and with two left feet and hands 😂. Recently I dislocated my shoulder as well so don't want to stress my body so much but still want to continue to get better at golf

One thing I would disagree with you on. If Bobby Jones's club was moving at 34 ft./sec, that correlates to 23 miles/ hr. , not 113 miles/ hr.

The goal is not to ADD effort but to multiply your power ( rotational force )
Power as you know is rate of work.
Another fine video. You’re doing good work for golfdom.
