Every year around January 27, UNESCO commemorates the Holocaust victims and reaffirms its continuing commitments to combat anti-semitism, racism and other forms of intolerance that can lead to targeted acts of violence against certain groups of people. January 27 marks the anniversary of the liberation by Soviet troops of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945.

In November 2005, this day was officially proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Thanks to our joint efforts with Tero, the Tashkent Jewish Religious Community of European Jews, a four day photo flash mob was organized in January 2019. It was dedicated to the memory of the Holocaust victims and the public manifestation that this dark page in world human history has not been forgotten and will never be happened again!

The main slogan of this event was announced as “WE REMEMBER EVERYTHING!”
The hashtag is - #WeRemember!
