Who could have known that his most influential teacher, Manfred Gerhardt was a good friend and student of Claudio Arrau, who was a student of Martin Krause, who was a pupil under Franz Liszt, who's only piano teacher was Carl Czerny, who's mentor, teacher and friend was no other than Ludvig van Beethoven. There you have it, it's no coincidence that Eduardo Rojas' Beethoven renditions ring so true and full of life, it's a six-generation long legacy that lives on right before our eyes and ears.
ОтветитьFrom Beethoven to Eduardo Rojas Seeing Eduardo Rojas' brilliance in giving youthful life to Beethoven's Piano Sonatas we were wondering if there is more than just a kinship in spirit between the two of them - and there is. With utter amazement we followed Eduardo's piano roots like a breadcrumb trail through history.
