Never bought games on day one except indie games that were like 10 or 20 euros already on release. Too many games in backlog, I can easily wait this out for the next 5 up to ten years.
Also I play and enjoy Bloodborne like every 2 years and play it through completion. I guess I am good.

Companies exist to make money. If they can abuse the players to make big benjamins. You can bet your ass that they’re gonna do it. Even if not at first, but once everyone else starts doing it.

It didn’t work on me. I already cancelled game pass last November and gave away my Xbox. They doubled gamepass price within 18 months, it’s full of rubbish games and as a casual gamer was already fedup with constant updates, micro transactions, DEI and ruined franchises. Gone retro instead, 3ds and an older Ds, thousands of titles to try, no online only, none of the issues as stated above, no race swapping or gay kissing in the middle of games. Couldn’t be happier, I certainly wouldn’t be playing more.

Thats not the reason why. The reason they are doing this is to kill the console so they could go straight to just selling games and being 3rd party. Its so obvious that ive seen this since the say they announced game pass. They gave up and y'all cheered by supporting game pass and saying it was a good deal and games were "free." You are still paying for the subscription and depending on the games you played it did not warrant the money you were spending every month. Even if you somehow managed to play every single game they had in a month that would still be a horrible deal. You dont own any of those games and they get to decide what you get to play. This is why physical media needs to stick around not just in gaming, but in everything.

This is very true and from an Xbox first kinda person.I have seen the slow decline to consoles compared to PC most games are formatted for PC some bugs and glitches terrify consoles where PC it runs seamless base building You can build bigger and more detailed with PC where if a console person walks by they crash.The only reason I keep going back is because of how much money in games I have bought that's it.Its sad to see greed killing gaming

I live in Brazil, the minimum wage around here is approximately 1500 reais a month (remember, a dollar equals 5.73 brazilian reais in today's quotation) and a game on launch today costs around 400 reais these days, or more, just you imagine that!

That's an understatement,the man's a snake oil salesman,he is the reason after the x1x i bought in 2017 holiday and finding out in 2018 i wasn't gonna get anything out my purchase,i left their ecosystem and all behind,never again will i ever buy an xbox or even their games!!

We've been entering a recession in the "AAA" gaming scene. They keep increasing the prices but aren't increasing the value. Very few major studios are making great games anymore, and the ones that are are Japanese. The only things keeping them afloat are remakes/remasters and aggressive mtx, which will hopefully get regulated.

I won't defend xbox. Hell, I say, let's do a no buy boycott all gaming companies they are out of control.

Xbox should just stop as console and instead become a steam platform for couch gaming, that way you got pc gaming for the enhanced stuff, steam deck for handheld gaming and xbox for couch gaming, problem solved!
