the most important for the gobal market right now is that Chinese domestic revenue is more than the US market right now: despite the fact that the average car price is about 50%-60% of the US market. This means there is going to be even more fierce competition than before.

Funny that Nio still market that way. BYD is the enemy of the industry now. But I guess Nio could never challenge BYD. The problem with Nio is the poor value offered at their asking price. You don’t get much for what you pay. That is the similar problem with Tesla and that is why Nio compares itself to Tesla😂 Tesla has hit a wall in china and its sales stalled because its prices are too high for their cars, at least for china market. Tesla needs to cut prices at least another 20% to get back to growth path.

Chinese value money - they will stop buying ICE vehicles long before other countries wise up!
In less than 5 years, only an idiot would buy ICE!
Not to mention but eVs are better for their country and health = win/win!

EVs get exponentially better every year [and cheaper] - unfortunately, this lowers the RESALE prices and hurts long term value for customers!
But, don't worry, ICE vehicles will ALWAYS be expensive and a maintenance money trap!

You will see bankruptcies from the western legacy auto companies as well so the situation isn't unique to China. But China will have a few leading automakers that will be global brands. I'm not sure France or Canada can say the same

Wow to realize Australians are least affected by the ICE vehicle producers' demise, because they hardly have a car industry of their own.

Now they can happily pick and choose on the int. market, and the gvnmt has no reason to employ tariffs.

Love to visit some time, it's just so far away

My BYD Atto3 after two years still amazes me at how good it is and how little it costs to operate.

Eventually these vehicles will have a big impact on national productivity, simply because people will be able to do the travel they need to do at much lower cost.

Chinese young people care most about the human-car interaction of electric vehicles, so they will choose Aito with Huawei system, but I rarely see Western media mention the intelligence of Chinese electric vehicles.

When foreigners test the human-computer interaction of Chinese electric vehicles, there is no very detailed introduction but quickly passed over. It may be because of language barriers when Chinese electric vehicles are now mainly for Chinese market, not yet well optimized for spoken Englishso if you don't speak Chinese then foreigners rarely test them seriously. However, Huawei has automatic driving, automatic parking, and intelligent obstacle avoidance that far exceed Tesla. The most powerful thing is the automatic parking space search and pick-up in the parking lot.

BYD is more like a performance car. After all, BYD's advantage is not software. Its intelligence is actually very general. I remember there was a news before that Volkswagen of Germany fired its software team because Volkswagen's intelligence compared with Huawei is the gap between NOKIO Symbian system and Apple IOS. Instead, They directly found a human-computer software team in China. However, because there are no Internet giants in Germany and Japan, I found that Western media have been telling the same thing endlessly. Chinese people choose Chinese electric vehicles because they are cheap? NO!!! I don't understand whether the Western media really don't know, or pretend not to know. It is smarter and more fashionable. The last reason is the price!! if BMW BENZI can have Huawei system inside I think more Chinese will buy such traditional luxury brand

Get back to me in 5 years with these Chinese vehicles, it will take that long to see how good dealer backup, manufacturer's warranty, parts availability (and wait time) and second-hand demand/price is. They could be a big success, they could all be broke by then.
We simple don't know yet.

Many bankruptcies won't happen because the Chinese car market is highly undeserved and the smaller carmakers are local car makers... If you can even say that with a country that has 1.41 billion people and where one locality is like another country in Europe.

Actually, you don't need to worry about NIO. NIO is promoting its leading battery replacement alliance business in China. Other manufacturers have begun mass-producing EVs using NIO interfaces. These EVs are mainly used for commercial vehicles, such as taxis. In addition to NIO, this alliance also includes Geely, Chery, Changan Automobile, FAW Group (Hongqi), State Grid, Sinopec, CATL, and even LOTUS and Shell. Since 2022, many new EV taxis in major Chinese cities have been produced according to the battery replacement alliance standards.

How is it that Apple, the world standard in innovation, has been suddenly eclipsed by Xiaomi after the abysmal failure of Apple, after decades and billions wasted to develop an innovative vehicle[...of any kind?]. This IA the present state of Chinese innovation, and Mr. Cook Apple CEO latest visit to China didn't help at all. Again, the world's largest consumer market, 350M 'middle-class' Chinese will soon be joined by 350M more from BRICS, B&RI, and the Global South, where Apple has been banned in Indonesia, and Ethiopi has banned the import of ICE vehicles. Ignorance-is-popular, and the only cure is time-and-consequences. Huawei/BYD/Xiaomi/CATL/ ... are stacked against US/EU western productivity, performance, and prices? "Energy Is The New Currency", and China is using technology to maximize its energy efficiency, which is mass-produced with comparable/better quality. 🫡😎Have a great time in China Viking, ...see you on the 'other-side'🤩😂

NIO has the model and the moat.. eventually they will be the goat! Battery swap is Amazing. The fact that you have the "option" to buy or rent the battery. To charge it OR swap it. To upgrade it when new battery tech comes out or for longer range. For all those that compare swapping vs charging... there is no comparison when you can do "both" - why buy an EV that does not give you this choice.

At the end of what will be the HOTTEST year in recorded HISTORY, with extreme weather driven by climate change wreaking havoc around the globe, the world is confronting a second Trump term. On the campaign trail, TRUMP continued to call climate change a HOAX, said he would pull out of the Paris accord again, pledged to EXPAND oil and gas production and roll back pollution controls, and threatened to ELIMINATE federal incentives that promote renewable energy and electric vehicles, while EXPANDING OIL AND GAS EXPLORATION AND DRILLING TAX SUBSIDIES. The "elites" don't seem to be in charge of his fossil fuel, environment, or TAX policy. REALITY won't be denied forever. Musk said "America, brace for hard times".

HIMA is not a manufacturer. It is an alliance of EV and EREV manufacturers that use certain Huawei technologies in their vehicles. Huawei also works with Alliance members on vehicle design. SERES/AITO was the first company to manufacture a HIMA vehicle and the company makes many models but today Chery and BAIC also make some HIMA models (in lesser quantities) under newly announced brands. JAC will follow suit soon.

The sales numbers in the table shown in the vlog are compiled from three or four manufacturers. Huawei probably was the source for the numbers.
