ОтветитьMay this comment be a sacrifice to the Algorithm.
Ответить9th September today.
Happy birthday, Aurelian. <3
Zabdas deserves some credit, if he was any luckier or his men any better at infantry combat, he could've smashed Aurelian right then and there and changed history forever.
ОтветитьWANTED: for trying to be more powerful than me had me dying 😂😂😂
ОтветитьWANTED: for trying to be more powerful than me had me dying 😂😂😂
ОтветитьAurelian: "The green always spilling over the beige! Must repaint!" 🤬
Ответитьthis man is at least on the same level of competence as Diocletian and ceaser, truly one of the few excellent roman emperors, it's too bad he died like so many other emperor's in the hands of their own soilder. Maybe he could have prevented the further decline of the empire if he lived until his natural death like augustus.
ОтветитьOnce again, hands down for a great video. Thank you for producing such high quality content! 💪🏻
ОтветитьMan, letting his enemies live and giving them a new life. Aurelian was a nice guy! It seems the good do die young indeed.
ОтветитьThey could have used him in the 620s
Ответить🍁🌱🍁
ОтветитьGod,weve learned nothing thru all the centuries of war, nation after nation falls from corruption and greed, war basically. All because a few men want the world and cant share
ОтветитьA ruze? Lol they straight up lied to the people of palmyrene that they won lol a ruze is a trick not a lie
ОтветитьAurelian's actions paved the way for Diocletian to establish a more autocratic state structure. At the expense of the common people, potentially enriching the elite class.
ОтветитьGood content.
Ответитьhow many men and military force wasted in civil wars
ОтветитьRip Syria 😢
ОтветитьShows even back then women had it made. The treatment Zenobia got lmao. Didnt even have to fight any battles
ОтветитьIts so refreshing seeing someone who deals in intelligent calculated mercy instead of blind fear.
ОтветитьAurelian, finally an emperor better than Trajan and luckier than Augustus. If only he had lived longer.
ОтветитьKinda of got what he deserved for betraying two emperors before him. He rode on what Gallenius had set up. Either way it would have been him or Gallenius that would have eventually brought the Roman Empire back together. If you can’t see that then you’re blindly by what the historians write and yes we should take what they say because of carouse they legions eye-roll
ОтветитьBe honest how much money have you lost overall, I always see your unsuccessful picks
ОтветитьNot the restore of rome but restorer of the empire.
ОтветитьI would love to see modern wars in your channel
Thank for the works ❤
Anyone else just think catalanyun fields = historymarche funny as pronounciation of flavius aetius? (it's funny to me due to the hun campaign in aoe)
ОтветитьAurelllion niiiiight
Aurelllioon deeead :(
"Fake News" "Build the wall" why are you inserting modern politics into a history video? Cut that out. Thanks.
ОтветитьImagine if Aurelian saw John Wick - kill every cat in the city
ОтветитьKing Cannabas? I thought that was Snoop Dogg!
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьPretty funny use of contemporary language and pop culture insertion balloons, to go along with the battles. It made me subscribe.
ОтветитьI likey
ОтветитьAurelian is one of my favorite Roman Emperors. He deserves a movie!
Ответитьmy fav
ОтветитьBut all the sources say Zenobia was a woman of ability and honor, not a common thing.
ОтветитьThe Palmyrene Empire defended Rome against the Sassanids during the 3d Century. This was unfortunate . . . .
ОтветитьWhy is it that when good is fought for, bad men always make it bad?
ОтветитьAmazing History! Thank you so much.
ОтветитьThe worst thing about this is that he was rooting out corruption and the corrupt colluded to take him out.
ОтветитьId die for emperor aurelian ngl
Ответить😮
ОтветитьHe stole hot goth women? BASED
ОтветитьGreat work
ОтветитьImagine what the world would look like today if Rome was not so plagued by assassinations. If some of the greatest leaders of all time hadn't been assassinated in their prime. If the Roman empire had persisted in unification, unification of disparate regions, religions, and cultures. I'm sure it's just romanticism, and that there are very clear reasons for why Rome fell, such as corruption and complacency, and an unwillingness to accept the 'barbarians' into Roman lands to settle and become 'Romans'. A series of ineffective Emperors inevitably leading to collapse. If however, the Romans did accept the Barbarians into the Empire, and did extend their control into the North and further East, and had met face to face with the Huns, I wonder how different the world would look today.
ОтветитьThis man was a living bolt of pure energy, sort of like the long dead Julius. Emperor for only five years, marched his armies about twelve thousand miles, fought dozens of minor engagements, and won nine major victories against formidable opposition, and oh yeah, prevented the collapse of Rome about two hundred and fifty years before it did. Shocking how little historic background is presented on this magnificent dude. Militarily, Politically, Energetically, the closest Roman Emperor to match the peerless Julius as far as force of will is concerned. Should be a more familiar historic icon
