Ocoee Challenge Move: Gonzo's Rock

Gonzo's Rock is just below Staging Eddy. Approach the rock from river left - go behind it and turn upstream (the trick is to come close, but to not hit the rock), ferry and catch the river right eddy. From there, drop in and surf the diagonal wave and attain back up to the eddy. Surf the wave again exiting player's right, ferry and catch the next eddy in the middle of the river. Slide out of the eddy and surf the wave to river right passing above the rock into the eddy. This is not a hard move, but for begging paddlers it sharpens a lot of critical skills.
