This is epic.
ОтветитьThis clip is a bit inaccurate, the first depiction is of a troodontidae which evolved tens of millions of years after birds/mammals.
ОтветитьThe transition that always gets glossed over is the disconnect that happens in the pubic symphysis: theropod dinosaurs had connected pubic bones - which limited the size of the eggs they laid. Neornithine birds, on the other hand, have pubic bones which are separated and which are aligned with the spinal column - that allows today's birds to lay an egg that is much larger in relation to their body mass than those laid by theropod dinosaurs. One has to ask: WHY DID THIS HAPPEN????
