Its crazy that they changed the esrb after launch. Any game changing the esrb after launch is wild
ОтветитьIt’s an $80 dollar game with a $30 season pass, a $6 battle pass every season, along with $5-10 outfits each. Not to mention some of the outfits and BP content is stuff from older games that were free. Sure “it’s only $5” but to look at it just as that is very disingenuous and allows them to continue their shitty business practices.
ОтветитьDude, moondude, ARE THEY BEING GREEDY? Yes/no.
ОтветитьIf they’re upfront about it then I’d have no problem. The issue is that I paid for the ultimate edition and I feel like I’m getting nickeled and dime over the dumbest of things. I understand needing to make profit I’m not expecting things to be free but if you’re going to charge me at least make new content. I didn’t grow up with Jin og tracksuit I don’t care about it ascetically I personally wanted a new premium outfit. I don’t like lidia or eddy some people do I don’t I own them but don’t play them but why do I need to buy the character to lab against its strings the story dlc proves that purchasing them isn’t a requirement to play them on a trial period. Personally I hate buying stages but it’s only five dollars I can afford that hell I bought the game on pc and ps5. All I want is Miguel, a balanced roaster and actual skins. Also a straight up nerf to comback mechanics like heats ok but do I really need to anticipate a rage art every dang round. 😂
ОтветитьAs anyone defending it should.
ОтветитьI don't see why people even care about the stage. It's a 24 by 24 octagon. It's just a reskin of the area stage.
ОтветитьI paid for the Ultimate Edition with the belief that I would have access to all the game's content for at least the first year, but I do not. I have every right to take issue with this.
ОтветитьWhat yall expect from someone with a “king” on his name 😂 it just screams “i sell out QUICK”
ОтветитьI have no issue with spending money, but give me a reason to spend it though. Re using things from previous games or adding new skins once or twice a month isn't really enticing to me
ОтветитьI swear people always gotta complain about something I mean ain’t shit never free let’s be honest ( they put money into the game & they gotta get revenue back somehow) ever thought about that (COMPLAINING PEOPLE)
ОтветитьIf the gaming Community would also cry that hard and give backlash about EA , Ubisoft and Activision like they do about a optional 5 bucks Stage , Gaming would be perfectly fine
ОтветитьLOL Don't you even there to get any closer to Mike Hollow, that guy is a cancer, a drama baiter who makes all of his videos based on drama topic for views. Even when he praises something he only does it because it surrounds drama. And he even exposes himself as a hypocrite in these tweets also, because he defends King Jae saying that he's not a corporate shill for trying to explain the T8 stage thing, but when Pig of the Hut saying something against the negativity against MK1, he calls him a corporate shill. Mike Hollow is a money-grabbging, attention-grabbing fraud. Again, stay away from him.
ОтветитьThe game itself should already have been the ticket to access every thing and the contents all in one while expansion sets can be expressively bought.
I have no idea why does Bamco have to do a bad business decision that every single item in the game had like a 5$ separate purchase than being bought alongside the set.
I'm sorry, but this is the dumbest argument thus far. These are two completely different business models, and they are nowhere near comparable. If anything, on revenue, one model is finite, and the other is infinite. The core issue here is transparency and consistency.
ОтветитьI thought BAMCO had money. They make it look like they don't have any
ОтветитьI can't understand that person's argument when they say GTA3 was on the PS1. Did that happen? I feel crazy.
ОтветитьTekken fans get what you deserve honestly for blindly defending a scummy Company and a game with Terrible netcode and so many bugs that have not been fixed yet we need to expect the bare minimum out of this game but they don’t even give us that they give us less every time. It sucks but Tekken needs some honesty and tuff love.
ОтветитьThe gaming industry have to be like movie ondustry if they gonna keep talking about prices. Tell us how much it costs and tell us how much it earned then.
ОтветитьMan this game is looking stupid because we don’t have Fahkumram, Bob, Ak, Miguel, and Marduk
ОтветитьWelp people want Tekken to die out this is how it happens 🙃
ОтветитьI just want to point out that the 2 accessories that Heihachi got were just pulled from TK6 and placed in. They removed the unique grab and the item themselves are pixalated af
ОтветитьNothing is necessary. If your game is too expensive to be profitable, scale it down, don't try and squeeze every cent out of your loyal customers because you have an overinflated budget
ОтветитьGta 3 on ps1? Wtf
ОтветитьI think it would’ve been somewhat better to charge for the story instead of the stage, only because the stages would be consistent(since the beach stage was a free update when Lidia dropped), and the extra story chapter is brand new to the franchise.
ОтветитьCommunication needs to be established. This is not Harada fault but Bamco, who does all monetisation. People in the comments forgot about the gacha game Bamco did that failed and the Gundam metaverse that bleeds money.
ОтветитьPeople can say they don't like to pay for the stage, and that's fair, but saying that they didn't clarify is a blatant lie. I'm reading the back of my game's case and it says "Year 1 Pass of playable characters - 4 additional playable characters", plus the customizables, avatar skins and such... Nothing about extra stages, story DLC, music, gallery, nada... I mean, it's one thing to complain about prices or quality, but complaining because you didn't bother to read the back of the case or simply do a quick Google search... that's just ignorant.
ОтветитьI DID hear that NAMCO IS going bankrupt, what with their other titles tanking. That one dude saying the stage cost around $350,000 sounds legit. Also, catering to kiddies and young, uneducated casuals means that much more of their new players are too young and immature to understand basic economics and financials, to make an ADULT determination on what is really going on.
Kiddies don't have a CLUE as to how much money in man hours it costs TO PAY FOR A DEVELOPER(S), TESTING, MARKETING, LEGAL, LOGISTICS, etc. However, this is only a symptom of the problem.
Namco blew up and decimated Tekken's own mechanics and gameplay philosophy that the game has had since it's inception - (defensive skill, game mechanic intricacy and depth vs. kiddie mash, skill deprecation and resource play), while also oversimplifying and dumbing down character movelist design, depth and originality. All to grow the group that has the least financial stability - kiddies and young adults.
Now they want to act surprised that the most entitled and undereducated group are b1tching over something that equates roughly to the price of a fukking Big Mac.
LMFAO - Namco bet on the wrong horse. Shoulda bet on the actual ADULT and older DEDICATED fanbase that can afford all this stuff, and just added an additional $5 - $10 to the game price, instead of stabbing their own LOYAL supporters in the back, by catering to kiddies and lazy casuals, who are too trifling and feckless to study, train, and research to learn the game. They had to have mechanics created FOR them.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the game is actually THE LEARNING PROCESS ITSELF. Tekken was NEVER about the destination - IT WAS ABOUT THE JOURNEY. Tekken was like going to the gym and lifting weights - you devised a training plan, stuck to it, and enjoyed your increasing improvements over a longer period of time. The joy was coming from all the goals you reached along the way. Namco would be earning consistently throughout the entire journey.
Now, with Namco's total bastardization of Tekken 8, it's more like a quick trip to the plastic surgeon for some liposuction and fillers.
Namco needs to stop, drop, and roll with some reevaluating of the superficial and shallow direction this game has taken. They need to restore more of the skill-based mechanics to this game, balance characters, and stop homogenizing the DLCs. Nobody wants to purchase and play the same rushdown, 50/50, stance-based DLC character, over and over.
Namco is also very ignorant of it's own game AND player base. Prior to Tekken 8, the pro/hobbyist/vet/character specialist community was primarily on PC, for technical reasons, and the kiddos/scrubs/casuals were primarily on the PS4. The two communities were mostly separate, FOR A REASON. There was no crossplay. Any raw talent would migrate or be migrated over to the PC. Much like the infamous Tekken 7 Michael Murray Twitter comment regarding why a player wouldn't choose to low-block and punish Kazuya's Hellsweep, Namco/Murray/Harada have an inferior understanding of their own game and how it's played.
THIS IS THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. Namco trying to force both communities into the same space, into ONE community. They designed their Tekken 8 business plan around this strategy, and to make money via the same kiddies/casuals/scrubs that have the least financial presence. They are also the most fickle.
Namco still has time to rethink their strategy, and steer the game in a more sustainable, logical direction. The game IS less than a year old, and if they move quickly, they can restore the depth to it. I will buy their crap to help keep them afloat for now, but if my gesture is met with more disloyalty, that financial well WILL dry up. I don't do the same thing, over and over, expecting different results - but I wonder if Namco will........
I don’t care about the cost of the game. I paid $70 plus the season pass tip. What about our money troubles? People act like they released this for free. No I paid $70 and they started this nonsense once the refund window left us.
ОтветитьIf you defend monetization in a $70 game with a season pass you are a shill. Simple as.
ОтветитьThing ain't nothing! I also play Apex Legends and skins and other cosmetics range from $20.00 - $160.00. I'll pay the 5 bucks just to support Tekken. This game is amazing and $5.00 ain't shit. Get your money up ya damn wood ranks!
ОтветитьI think theres a communication problem hete and they need to stop the ambiguity when it comes to what a season pass contains.
When you change how seasonal passes have worker historicaly for the franchise, the perception will be that they are trying to double dip on the players.
Instead, they couldve simply sticked by the normal behavior of releasing all the seasonal content, stages included with the ultimate pass but increase the price and explain why you are doing so, at least that way people know what to expect
There's no good with micro-transaction but if you're hand is tied like Harada at least don't make people pay for items that was re-used from the last Tekken game and make new cool ones.
ОтветитьI'm with including future DLCs in season passes, but expecting new big stages to be completely free just because we got one with the free beach update and getting furious because it isn't so, is just spoiled behavior.
ОтветитьThere were in bros comments calling him KING GLAZE lmao
ОтветитьWe should of been told about the price of the stage that’s it I’m happy to support the game I get Most of the dlc if I like the look of it as a raven / Lidia / Asuka / heihachi main I’m happy
ОтветитьAs a mortal kombat “fan” you guys have it much better
ОтветитьI can’t believe we apparently didn’t give Bethesda and Microsoft enough shit about horse armor to prevent this
ОтветитьI mean ... No one told them to spend $300,000 on a stage.... Alot of the Budget issues seem like a failure of management.
ОтветитьThe prevailing worldview today is that all corporations are evil entities, looking to screw you over to add to their already endless supply of money. People don't like to have their worldview challenged. It makes them uncomfortable and they will lash out. This does not change reality, however. People will wind up pissing away the things they love the most because they are unwilling see things for what they really are.
ОтветитьAfter Tekken 7 we all know that the guy ( Game Dev) is just gaslighting consumers.
Nobody who was interested would compare costs and prices from 20 years ago when he could just compare the most recent example with Tekken 8.
Tekken 7 is the current best reference point for Tekken 8. Not Tekken 1&2.
This guy was obviously full of shit from his first sentence on.
Tekken 7 was such a huge success that Tekken 8 even got a bigger budget.
Nothing would have stopped them to not repeat Tekken 7 business model and be responsible with their budget.
It is not on us customers to pay just enough to feed the evergrowing greed of companies.
They had a blue print of how to make it work. It was success for the company and the players.
And then with T8 they introduced f2p monetization in a 70€ game AFTER Launch and reviews, basically changing the business model.
The backlash is 100% their own making for being too greedy and horrible at communication.
Given that everything that dude said about current costs was lie.
Even if it was true that every current player needed to pay 5€/$ for a stage that this would make it a failure of the company.
It would be a horrendous miscalculation and nothing else.
If companies cannot manage their budget so that they are making enough money that is on them. There is always more than one way. T7 model was one proven way. To say "either buy this or there is no place for Tekken" basically is just untrue.
The truth is that it is much harder these days to create big IPs than it is to revive and serve existing IPs and their fans. Even if nobody buys any more Tekken 8 content they could and would make Tekken 9.
Because what else? Not make money on their big IP ?
Risk another lucky shot Like blue protocol ? 😂😂😂
Fuck bamco and Harada. They deserve all the downvotes, sinking player numbers and loss of good Reputation( Harada ) for what they pulled with T8.
Guys. Don’t buy season passes no more. Make this a lesson.
ОтветитьWhy do we care so much about a stage and not the lack of actual customization options for a year now?
ОтветитьAlso the stage is crap. It looks great but its a walls map and doesnt have anything special
ОтветитьI couldn't give a shit about the multi billion dollar companies financial state. I won't pay unreasonable amounts for a game, I have other things I need money for I'm not their paypig.
ОтветитьSaying tekken 8 is a risky produce is like saying COD is a risky product.
Ответитьthe fact i have to pay money for making my character look ridiculous is the dumbest and most of it is just the normal items from tekken 7 yeah its scummy and i would rather mod instead
ОтветитьGood video, glad to see you ending your vids properly now (instead of an abrupt cut). Keep up the good work bro.
ОтветитьIts not weird at all. Tekken 7 wasnt as dumbed down as T8 but it still sold well. People dont want easy games they want good ones.
Ответить
