Interesting because I read that Samuel L Jackson's scene was originally going to be onscreen death, but he couldn't filmed it because the weather kept Jackson from making it to Hawaii for the shoot.

I still think it was kinda of racist to assume that was Sam Jackson only on the fact the arm was black XD

Why did they assume he was dead, didn’t even try to look and WHHHY didn’t they give him a walkie talkie!

What made her think he's dead? That could be someone else's arm he could still be alive with both arms

When I was a kid I never knew who's arm that was or how it got there. And I guess now it only makes sense that it was Samuel Jackson because... it was black, but as a kid I was like "what is the arm doing there"?

Nedry's death in the book is FAR worse, IMO--there's NO way they would have been able to film that and keep their family-friendly rating...

this scene TERRIFIED me as a kid so badly i stopped watching. when i was like 15 i came back to it and went “wow that looks so fake why did that scare me so much”
