It sounds strange, but no one has ever described how the tens transfer happens. Not just in addition (which is normal; that can be found in, say, the Swift or Addimat that can only add), but also in the other direction, in subtraction (and that is not normal for these simple devices). The device has no screws, so it is waiting for a collector to break open the glued housing.

My grandfather would do his bills with one of these.

For context: "Neckermann" is a German mail-order company, it's very likely they got it branded for them. "Haushalskalkulator" translates to "household calculator", although nobody these days would say "kalkulator", but rather "Rechner".

There was a trend in Japan to name companies with western names, that's also how Japanese guitar manufacturer Ibanez got it's name. In the seventies Japanese mass products had a bad reputation.

I have both the Chadwick Mini-Calculator and the Neckermann Haushaltkalkulator versions. Yours is missing the rubber feet, and those feet are all marked with the word Solo, so I think that Solo is the name that the Japanese company marketed them as.

Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "adoration solo piano hymns" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Qiymma Piyaden Blaster - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my co-worker got excellent results with it.

It looks a lot like the VTG Swift Handy Calculator Adding Machine from the 1960s

Just bought one at a antique store 2 bucks. Mine say made japan add-sub in front and solo on little rubber legs. Our don’t go all the way around so not sure how to carry numbers .
