He has made something in the time that didn't yet exist. And I'm tankful for it they might say he has broken Hollywood. But we all know they did that themselves. All these streaming platforms are breaking the movie industry. And pirating might be our only way out of this predicament.

I’ve got six big Case Logic binders and around 35 spindles—all loaded with pirated music and movies from the Rapidshare/Megaupload era. We all knew the record companies had their hands in our pockets back then, so grabbing what we could felt like payback.

But looking back, it came at a cost. Music lost its weight—what used to be meaningful became disposable. Beloved audio brands got stripped down and sold off, now just pumping out the next Bluetooth version like it’s progress.

I still collect records, tapes, CDs—there’s something real in that. But the culture that made it special? Gone. Even Bose doesn’t make wired speakers anymore. Not that they were amazing, but still… says a lot.

What is the crime? He's not stealing anything. If you buy a dvd and give your friend a copy, how is that a crime?
This is just movie execs angry because they didn't think of a way to make it even harder to share what people own.

It's criminal to send him to a place where he won't get a fair trial, won't be given his rights as the USA doesn't follow human rights, a country where he didn't commit the crimes (real provable ones were in Germany, Finland and New Zealand), a country that can't provide him safety while in custody as that's also against international laws.

So, what of the things that he did is not being done today by other companies?
We have lots of filesharing platforms that barely do anything to remove copyrighted content.
We have AI that uses lots of copyrighted content to generate music/pictures/videos.
