Murder & manslaughter for Michael Tierney's killers.

George French who pleaded not guilty for the murder of Michael Tierney was found guilty by a jury at Canterbury Crown Court on 10 December 2015.

William Fleming, who was an accomplice to French in the attack on Tierney in Kent was also found guilty of manslaughter on the same day.

The pair gruesomely beat 33-year-old Mr Tierney on the 16 June 2015 on Haig Avenue just before 11pm, aided with a pick axe handle that belonged to Tierney.

French, 39, of Ansell Avenue and William Fleming, 26, of White Road, had been causing disruption and damage in the local. area and were described as "being drunk".

Prosecutor Alexandra Healy QC claimed that French and Fleming caused damage to a fence that Mr Tierney had constructed, and that the pair were being "aggressive and intimidating" to Mr Tierney's partner and neighbours.
