it depends really.
There are 4 scenarios:
Router and miner doesn't support PoE: injector + splitter
Router supports Poe, miner does not: just splitter
Router does not support Poe, Miner does: just injector
Router and miner both support Poe then: just use the ethernet cable nothing else needed
If it’s meant to use only 5 watts why would I use the splitter Ethernet cable this will increase to 50 watts
ОтветитьOnce again, thanks for making and posting this video.
I'll be taking look when I get home to make sure I have both an injector and splitter ready to go for when my my Bobcat arrives now that I've watched this.
Does POE work with bobcat or do I need separate power?
ОтветитьGreat content man, keep it up I’m mirroring everything you do.
ОтветитьExcellent I have been wondering about poe thank you!!
ОтветитьDo you know if POE will work if I don't use a POE injector and instead use an ethernet power link adapter connected to my router + POE splitter?
ОтветитьIm looking at the splitter via your link. What exact one should i take there are 11 choices. I have a bobcat miner. Thanks in advance👍🏻
ОтветитьContent is good I will say one thing, in the Australian regulations this may change based on country but flat Ethernet cable is not to be used with POE. This is due to flat cable generally being stranded and a smaller diameter cable that can’t support the Poe+ standard that is required by our miners.
I’m not shutting down the video however check your countries regulation regarding POE
The problem now a days is some miners require 12v and use usb C
Ответитьawesome information
