Sounds a lot like sour grapes from Mr Hunt, by definition a failed politician and one moreover who did not get to grips with the UK's financial crisis. Reeves has in three months come up with the budget that Hunt should have done but failed to do for years.

Putin's war machine indeed. What about NATO's war machine. The West brought about the violent overthrow of the democratically elected government of Ukraine in 2014. Everything in Ukraine since then has pivoted around that point. The West has blood on its hands for all the misery it has caused and Jeremy Hunt as chancellor is proud of increasing defence spending. In my eyes that's a shocking indictment.

I assume the 'Daily' in Daily Telegraph describes their memory span, because I seem to remember a certain mini budget may have been worse. I also seem to remember it was these plonkers that hailed it "the first truly conservative budget in decades", so I remain a little skeptical of it all.

The way a conservative thinks and speaks is heaven and earth compared to a Labour one. Another class, not just in economic knowledge but in emotional intelligence too. I guess it's about having a working moral compass and a proper education.
