I have never seen a monkey cover itself with anything before and I have watched a lot of videos. This poor kid. How traumatic. Stolen from your mother as an infant and traumatized again. Very sad.

She was a hot mess. When she first got there, she was nervous, but semi-normal, then as time went on, she got more clingy and neurotic, hence the velcro holds, tics with her face and the thing she does with her hands. When she got the towel, it calmed her down a bit, but the males won't tolerate an unhinged infant or juvenile in the troop because it disrupts everyone else. After she was attacked by Sankra the first time, she seemed to have calmed down and I think she would have been OK, but he didn't like her because of how unhinged she was and he attacked her a second time, causing fatal internal injuries. The same thing just happened to Briar. David got tired of listening to her screech and watching her fit out everytime she wanted to nurse, and mom wasn't handling it, so he did. She has barely made a peep since then, but she's pouting now and acting like she's an invalid. She scoots around on back feet and barely uses either of her arms and always has a sorry face. I know at first she was hurt, but she should be getting over that now, foraging for food and walking like all the other monkeys who don't have use of one of their front arms, because there are plenty of them out there, but she refuses. She'd rather sit there all hunched over and cry for mom every time she tries to go find food. She's always been a brat, now she's a pathetic brat.

She was so cute with her towel, and the little ones weren't so nice to her, they would steal her towel but she felt like when she was underneath of it she was protected I swear she was the cutest darn thing I have ever seen! When I found out she was attacked again and this time it killed her😢 I actually cried and yes this is from years ago she just didn't fit in I guess too many different things that made her stick out amongst them and big male monkeys they don't like it when babies cry

Never saw her referred to as “Candy Katie”….things a very old compilation of videos. That day she was left there in the rain with her towel-which was not a good idea, she was so panicked. She never stood a chance. She’d push away any monkeys that tried helping her and consoling her because her VO-human parents would be there obsessively filming her all day into the night bringing food and clean towels for her so she’d think they were going to take her back home. Eventually the other monkeys gave up and started avoiding her and even getting irritated with her excessive clinging and turned on her because she’d cling so much and cry and coo non stop. The towel was an issue because she won’t give it up and her former online would bring new ones any time another monkey stole it. She’d hide under it bringing more attention herself and some of these monkeys have never seen one before so they were curious and they wanted it too so they’d bully her lore and steal it and she’d freak out more. It was so painful to watch. She was in a constant state of panic and fear. She was dirty and hungry and lonely even though at first other monkeys tried consoling her. The idiot VO that dumped her would film her and bring food and hold her and confuse her more. It’s so pitiful.
