ive played sa2b chao garden for probably more hours than any other game in my life, and yet this video still managed to teach me something new. i never knew what the hell monotone normals were!

is it possible to remove a chao's hidden allele? like, if i have a pink/green chao and i want to make the green allele disappear is it possible? i'm assuming i'd have to breed the pink chao with another pink chao

Now I am currently studying biology in college, all of this because of cute digital pets from a 2002 game 😭😭

I had a chao that started off as white, changed yellow, red, brown and other colors as it aged. Not sure what i bred to get it but i know one of them was shiny white. Ive only seen 2 videos demonstrating this type of chao. My favorute is the invisible chao though. I have them and put hats on so i can find them easier 😂

I bred my shiny two toned sky blue chao and my shiny two toned red chao and somehow got a shiny two toned white chao. Their parents were the same two toned normal chao and a shiny from the black market. White was NOWHERE in the equation. I'm not complaining about the free hero chaos chao in my trio, but im still VERY confused... also kinda sad that the game decided for me to give up on 170 emblems for the purple hero chaos I settled on😢

WARNING: As far as I can find, you can not can two-tone chao in the xbox version of Sonic Adventure dx.

I got the pc version a couple years back and bright chao are also on that as well.. but chao world extended offers a fix for that.

Don't get what's going on, but I'm breeding a shiny two toned white with a gray all s grade. None of my offspring have been shiny, no matter how many eggs I pop. You, the wiki, and everything I find online say it should always be shiny, but it never is.

Dont hate on my dreamcast. I can't get shinies but I get cool animal chao, im playing dreamcast SA2 don't call my unicorn cheetah chao boring

I'm late, but this would explain why I can't get certain facial expressions for my Chao, assuming they follow the same genetic rules.

I grinded out 5S traits on my Chao with lots of incest, but the only expressions I have available are Toothy Smile, Frown, and Mouthless. I also only breed Normal Chao exclusively.

If I want a regular smile, I'm gonna have to use a Black Market Egg to smuggle it back into the gene pool and redo the grind to 5S (which should be way easier the second time).

Are dominant and recessive alleles also used when breeding chao for stats? I'm trying to breed a chao based off stats and not looks. Sometimes I'm breeding two S stat chao for fly and I end if getting an E. I can't find anything on the internet that talks about this, just that it says it's has "real life parallels." Lmk, thanks.

Hello! I’ve been trying to get a two tone white Chao, breeding my starter normal two tone Chao with a white Chao from a Black Market egg… So far I’ve had three normal two tone and one white?? Am I just having bad luck? ^^; (I’m playing the PS3 version of Adventure 2 if that makes any difference?)

I remember as a kid trying to get the gold and silver chao to breed on the GameCube dx version and only ever got shiny transparent green chao. When I brought them to the GameCube and bred them they were only either gold or silver, no fun mixes

Simple and structured, until you have a Chao bred down a line of several colors and combinations so you run a roulette of possible color outcome

One thing I'd say about the Chao colors: I wish "Sky Blue" was named "Cyan" in-game, because that's the actual proper term for its color. I've heard the distinction that cyan isn't just a shade/tint of blue is more common in other languages, maybe the Russian players don't have to deal with that strange nomenclature… (was Sonic Adventure 2 even available in Russian?)
