Travelling to lonavala from Mumbai by train. It was a great experience enjoyed alot.

Lonavala, Khandala are popular holiday destination for mumbaikars, it's close proximity to Mumbai and Pune makes them an ideal choice.

The hill stations are well connected with road and rail.

Road :- Mumbai Pune expressway


Rail :- Lonavala Railway Station

One gets to see the scenic view of the sahyadri mountains on the way. They are also called the Western Ghats.

One can plan a trip to lonavala anytime as it's just 90km from Mumbai and it takes 2hrs to reach. Though rainy season is the best time to visit as waterfall and dams are in full action.

A car road trip from Mumbai to Lonavala would be the best option in summers and rainy season, Lonavala is also a popular option among bike riders for a bike ride on the concrete six lane Mumbai Pune Highway.
