Apocalyptic Raids made a big impression on me and a small group of friends in the early 80s. He's right everyone hated it - especally the traditional metal crowd. There were some that wanted that other world that Hellhammer provided.

I like Tom, so don't get me wrong but "Killing animals for profit" 😂 Oh give me a break. So what then, slaughter half of what is produced and have food shortages? See the price of food skyrocket and then the line would be "they are starving us intentionally to drive up price and make money!" 😂

I'll never forget the tour bus interview with him from the Monotheist era. He was such a rude, obnoxious and unpleasant prick that it really jaded my view of him. I still think he owes that interviewer an apology.

Hellhammer & then Celtic Frost was definetly a magnet for a great many people like myself, there was a definite need for extream metal to kick down the door.
Punk had an influence on the whole metal scene, deny it if you like but punk was a serious influence on all metal.

I was a teenager when I first heard this music. Now a senior citizen. But I enjoy watching these interviews . He was always very humble.

Congratulations Tom on all your accomplishments . I always wanted to tell you.

Nobody wanted to do a show, concert with Hellhammer because they were too intimidated by their powerfullness, and wouldn't just agree that Hellhammer should of course be the headlining band! What a shame.. As you know.. their pride got in the way of just admitting the truth, of Hellhammer being their Main influence and Inspiration!!! 🙋⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡🎸🔥⚡🤘🙋

This guy doing the interview is absolutely useless. He has no idea how to word concise questions, he just waffles on using words and terminology that he evidently thinks makes him intellectual. Also his facial expressions and reactions to toms answers feel very patronising and almost like he’s scoffing at him. Especially in reaction to tom’s answer about animals and such. Tom on the other hand is a legend and can listen to him talk about anything for hours haha.

Been a Celtic Frost/HellHammer fan since the late 80's and I really respect Thom G. his attitude towards music, politics etc.. and how that should or should not mix is tops.

I didn't realize H.R. Giger was an outcast. His Alien creature was something else . As little kids often taken too the theater, by my family . We enjoyed those movies. Thank you for this enlightening little stuff of H.R.Giger, Tom.

Why is that interviewer giving him those dumbass looks when Toms just answering questions HE asked him. He shouldn't even be wasting Toms time
