Someday i wanna see someone leave popcorn under a seat cover or behind a door panel so that it starts popping when Larry hits it with the steamer. I just feel like at least one of these guys would have done that to the othernat some point.
ОтветитьMy first car was a 510, 1973, 4 door.
MEMORIES!!!
I had it up to 93 mph once and it never drove better afterwards. I also had a great stereo in it that would blast George Thorogood!
As a Datsun 510 lover and owner, The video hasn't even started and I already gave it a like!!
ОтветитьThe would be better off getting the rust removed first
ОтветитьI didn't know you could use steel wool on windows. I guess you could just use super fine wool and be okay?
ОтветитьAwesome !! 😎👍🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️ Rrrrrrrrrrr--R
Ответитьthat is mind blowing result!
ОтветитьI love these cars. I've wanted to get one for so long, but any that worth a damn are either to expensive, or are sold within a week
ОтветитьKevin needs a channel and if he has one I can’t find it
Ответитьfor some reason . i felt this "light blue" color looks way sexier than most color nowadays
ОтветитьIt needs to be restored so the rust doesn’t ruin the car
Ответитьyes but the already thin paint is now even thinner ?
ОтветитьI swear this is like watching time go in reverse. Seeing these amazing vehicles being restored to their former glory. It’s like watching history in the making. This is why I’m trying to start a mobile car detailing and pressure washing service. That feeling of satisfaction I get every time I wash my car never gets old. And if I got paid to do it would be perfect
ОтветитьHi how much detail like this would cost ?
ОтветитьI wish I could talk to you about my experience doing old trucks
ОтветитьI love this car, I want one of those .
ОтветитьCan a Macco paint job be sealed and maintained?
ОтветитьHey @AMMO NYC, I really appreciate your work in all videos, really fan of your.
May I sak you why dont you go FOAM prior to the powerwash? Doesn't the soap would help to rinse dirt off and reduce agitating? PLease let me know what you think!
I had a 72 wagon. I miss that car. Unfortunately New England is not kind to those old girls.
ОтветитьGreat job, however not all of the vehicle is patina. There's serious carnage called rust taking place in various areas. Great vid!
ОтветитьI'll be honest, I may pass over some of the supercar vids but I knew this one would be good. The effort to restore this vehicle was impressive, especially in our throwaway society. I am in awe of the knowledge, wisdom and passion Larry and collaborators have for what to most people, is a very mundane task.
I'm not massively into cars but I am into respecting and caring for 'things' that serve you, this channel is the sole reason I use two buckets to wash my 20 year old scuffed car, I have learned so much and I thank you for it. I thank you again for encouraging me to try to do better and the little bits of philosophy you throw in to your edits, you are always on point.
Please advise me of a UK distributor of your products.
I have my grandmas Mercedes 500 that is realy dirty
Ответитьbut the sun is problems inside the car across that there is an inch of cat hair but I live in Norway
ОтветитьThe paw prints on the windows are actually a good sign - the cat most probably kept rodents away hehe
ОтветитьHave you ever done a video where you 50/50 tape line the front & backbend over the roof so we can get a comparison side view especially on a car that has a lot of chrome and/ or rim hubcap deterioration.
. Keep up the great work, cleaning is therapy - and motivating, I watch your videos when on elliptical in the mornings. Thanks. Typing this from elliptical now, excuse typos formatting
My first car was a Datsun 1600 (P510) 4 door in white. I loved this car and drove it for many years. I had Koni Shocks front and rear. If I had know then I would have installed a Datsun Fairlady 5 speed manual as it would have bolted right onto the engine without and adaptor and a set of twin side-draft webber carbies would have put icing on the cake.
ОтветитьYou should come wash my Honda Pilot. The thing is too damn big to do the detail
Ответитьthe paint is too far gone!
ОтветитьDatsun 510 was very popular in Mexico. It competed fiercely against VW Beetle.
ОтветитьSome 70% ceramic window tint all the way around would make this 👌 Class it up a bit and block heat from the sun.
ОтветитьThis is literally polishing a turd...
ОтветитьGreat job guys, I've yet to have one in that color 👀
ОтветитьI loved my 510, had a Paddy Hopkirk drivers seat and a Momo wheel, wor5th what I paid for the whole car. And it could fly too! the after market shocks and springs meant over 3' of air and no oil pan or skid plate damage! And it turned on a dime, great in the corners. What a fun little car! But putting that bloody fuse box on top of the firewall was a really bad idea.
ОтветитьStill pumped for the MG3 T series detail video
ОтветитьTHE GREATEST CAR EVER BUILT, I WISH I NEVER SOLD ANY OF MY16000 SSS I OWNED OVER THE LAST 32 YRS
ОтветитьGeez, freaking mice! Damages more old vintage cars than I ever knew. Insidious little creatures.
ОтветитьI loved the 510
ОтветитьGreat video and great job on that car.
Datsun 510’s are cool little cars.especially if you put the right set of wheels on them.
That’s so cool that you had the opportunity to work with Jason Rose. I’m quite a big fan of Rupes and Jason.
Datsuns did have quite the rust problems. Japanese cars in general really. (Pre 90s)
But this one is pretty good. Ish.
I detail in Australia you guys are absolutely incredible I love watching your channel
ОтветитьLarry, I have a 510 as well thats sat for 25 years! There are some spots that the old owner had prepared for paint and are rusting (fender) how would you protect the patina of light surface rust!?
ОтветитьI hate "patina". Cars are meant to look shiny and new imo.
ОтветитьThis video gave me hope in cleaning up my 510 wagon as well as a PL620 pickup I have. My 2-door is flat black and hot rodded out a bit too much, rust in the wrong places. But I've always wanted an original paint in-good-condition 510.
ОтветитьIn Australia they were Datsun 1600. They sell now for upto 80,000
ОтветитьDid it get back on the road? I'd love to see how it's looking now!
ОтветитьExcellent. A part of me wants this car to be totally restored, because when I was young five of us drove from England to France and Tuscany in a five door version, with a loaded roof rack. Quite reliable of course, except that the silencer broke and a small garage in the centre of Florence repaired it in no time. Nostalgia; many thanks.
ОтветитьAmazing video. In my opinon...The paint code is...567
ОтветитьI'd love to see an engine take. Amazing work as always
ОтветитьI love Datsuns. ❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьShould be modified to a great street canyon craver. Simple L20B motor, 5 speed, lower it , tires and wheels. 240z brakes.
