OK so, new information:
1. the "blocks" are to randomize the weights of the boxes so people can't use the weight to determine which figures are inside. Makes sense.
2. Apparently I'm the only one who didn't recognize that the "My Little Planet" figures are bats. Honestly..........I still don't see it but okkkk
