Make sure you get a good solicitor and do the paper work properly and buy the right stamps for stamp duty and pay the taxes and register the land with the tax department and not just with the land registry. So if fraud is done against you, it is recorded in multiple departments that you own the land and have paid the taxes for it, so that you could prove in court that you own the land. Get your solicitor and your self to fully check all the conditions and the maps and the easements. Make sure that there are no hidden service charges. In Pakistan they need a fully automatic online transparent land registry system like in in the UK and the US. In the UK and the US they do not have patwaris and tasildars. The land registry is centralised and if a lawer commits fraud they get struck off and can no longer be a solicitor. The government does the ordinance survey map and all the land registry maps are based on the ordinance survey map and have exact measurements, dimensions and the North pointer.
