Here in Aus, we adore John! He has entertained me for 54 yrs, I have had the privilege of seeing him in concert. He is "The Voice" God bless you John.

I've been to multiple John Farnham concerts, and the crowd coming up to the front is a regular/ normal occurrence. They shake his hand/give him gifts etc. Even whilst he is belting, crouched over, shaking hands and accepting the gifts, he still hits every note perfectly. In fact, I have been one of these people!

The technique is perfect and it's so effortless. We just call him The Voice. John Farnham's concerts are legendary, as is he. The moment he comes on stage it's electric. It's a party that no one wants to end. Something he was born to do.❤

I love John and I don’t know this song. He is our Legend. I remember the last concert I went to in Melbourne. I didn’t want to go out that night but I wasn’t missing it. I came home feeling so good because he isn’t happy unless everyone is happy. Thank you

The secret to John's performance is that he's performing with no artifice, it's so natural for him. Other performers put on a show FOR their audience. John connects WITH the audience by sharing his pure joy of singing. It's inclusive and makes you feel like he's sharing a little bit of his magic with you. This even translates through a screen. It's truly remarkable.

Yes it's a natural talent, he has never had voice training. And to make it even more astounding, John was a heavy smoker at this time. He didn't quit until later in his career. He always gave 100% at his concerts and made them an outstanding experience. I've been to a few of his concerts and saw him I Jesus Christ Superstar. He was always brilliant.

Quite a number of John's songs have a message for the greater good in our world and he sings them with pure PASSION !

Yes it is a natural God given voice. He has never had a music lesson in his life. The cool thing about his performances is that he sings each song a little different at every concert. Adds little extra runs and flips between octaves, even drops different words in sometimes.
You always come away from a Farnham concert on a huge high. Even in his late 60's and 70's he was still spectacular singer and showman .

Yes, you are right about his voice - it all seems so effortless for him. There is footage of a concert of his at Festival Hall in Melbourne from 1972 when John was 22 years old, and his voice is amazing even then - beautiful tone, vibrato, pitch perfection and appears just as effortless. I'm sure he put a lot of work into his singing over the years, but you wouldn't know it from watching him.
