SPLIT KEYBOARD!!!!!
ОтветитьEvery programmer admitting that the end goal is to live a peaceful life out on a farm is just so funny to me
ОтветитьCoding java in vim is kind of like going to the forest blindfolded.
But thanks to that, even though you stumble a lot, at some point it'll click to you to stop using suggestions, auto refactoring and other autodoers. You'll be thinking more about your codebase and less about using ide to do stuff for you. But it will be worth it, because you will be learning. You will notice that you no longer click randomly and be angry, you will pinpoint your wrongdoings more accurately, you will know config files, placement of them, you will have a map of your tests in your mind, like carved with knife in hardwood.
You will purposefully write imports, which you never did before. You will go to your pom.xml and you will write dependencies with your fingers, so you will know what packages you just enabled to your codebase.
It's like going shopping for milk instead of ordering it from the shop. You get to remember how the pavement looks like, you get to experience the weather, the wind, the noises. But you also need to thing about the trip, maybe it can be shorter? Maybe you look for the wrong milk or wrong shop? You will now be the decisive factor about the milk and the shop and the trip. You will know that road and other roads to the shop better. You will know prices in each shop, you'll get to know more about the town.
So next time someone asks for ordering milk, you'll just know that he/she will order stupid thing, you know where to get better and cheaper milk and you know you can get there quicker.
Some day you will be the one deciding about that milk.
It will slow you down so much, that you will doubt that it will be worth it. And you might be right, but you also can believe that you will succeed and push through so much, that it will make you just sharper. Knife hitting the rock once or twice will dull it, but consistently hitting it at the right angle will make its blade possible to even split single strand of hair.
Hello PRIME, how u doing today brother?
ОтветитьWaiting for prime and tj react to this for whole an hour😂
ОтветитьSooo Goooddd....!!!
ОтветитьI love you.
Ответитьvery funny
Ответитьconfigs breaking is the reason i went to DOOM Emacs. feels nearly the same, but you only need to uncomment a few config lines to get a working C++ LSP that doesn't rebind code completions from Tab to Ctrl-N randomly (thanks kickstart very cool). sadly Vim Ctrl-A / Ctrl-X are overridden and "w" stops on dashes, but otherwise identical to my old NeoVim's behavior
Ответить* Asmagold grift mentioned * -> left a like
* Kanye’s crash out * -> double checking if I really left a like
* Hulk Hogan’s mustache put to shame * -> is just one like really enough…!?
Man this couldn't be more true. I'm at my late Lazyvim stage now, and some things start to bother me. I'm adding plugins and which-keys to use them, but it feels off. It feels like drinking 0% alcohol beer.
Ответитьtrue about gaming streamer
ОтветитьBangladesh mentioned!!!!!
ОтветитьBig Farm xDDDDDDD
ОтветитьI see no point in using Neovim over IntelliJ products, so I just installed a plugin for motions and called it a day
ОтветитьBig miss w/ the emacs dig, I actually was a vim prodigy before switching to Emacs and being happy.
Ответитьbig box, i like your videos, but the thumbnails with the red eyes are atrocious. i humbly request you stop using them as it makes me not want to watch your videos. thank you
Ответитьat this point bigboxSWE is basically primebaiting xD
Ответитьcarpel tunnel is for emacs
ОтветитьBangladesh mentioned xd
ОтветитьThe best programmer I currently know doesn't use the mouse. He uses touchpad. You cannot outpace him in any way, because typing never was a bottleneck.
ОтветитьI still don't understand why I'd ever use neovim. I barely use the mouse in vscode, as is...
ОтветитьThis feels so fired at @ThePrimeTimeagen
Ответить'genz value system' hit harder than nagasaki
ОтветитьI wonder what @SylvanFranklin thinks about this
Ответитьis it just me or he forgot to cut out x out of bigbox in the outro
ОтветитьW T F 😂
ОтветитьEh! Emacs is just the right stuff for me
ОтветитьI've watched this twice and still don't quite get it
ОтветитьI feel attacked.
Ответитьmy full size keyboard is around 50% bigger than 60% keyboard
and if you where to use 2 60% keyboards youd be able to press d with right hand and k with left hand
can't really do that with a split keyboard
the best way to use emacs is to cross your arms on the keyboard and use your thumbs as pinkies
Ответитьkino content
ОтветитьI feel heard
ОтветитьI skipped the stages of using a pre-made config and my config breaking all the time, btw.
ОтветитьI"m gonna call that this guy uses nvim... he just knows too much lore
ОтветитьWhy we need to write the code when ai can do that for us lol
ОтветитьOmg I didn't know why YT was recommending me Luke Smith before LMAO
ОтветитьI'm very close to the farmer phase. Good
ОтветитьPakistan mentioned 🎉🎉
ОтветитьI still worship at the Church of emac but with evil mode. At the end of the day, it gives you the best of both worlds and it can act as an operating system if you need it. The rage pinkies are real thing by the way, at least until you use a split keyboard. Instead you get rage thumbs.
ОтветитьOh my I actually don't wanna exit neovim
ОтветитьIve wanted to try neovim, but setting it up behind a corporate proxy is so annoying, and cursor and the likes are all vscode forks
Ответить
