❤ the beatles
ОтветитьThe Beatles doing Jazz as John seems having Diarrhea and sounding like a Japanese sumo wrestler vocalist.Novelty, broad way, comedy combined.
Ответить2018💙😊🎧🎶
ОтветитьThe BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThe end is the best nearly as good as the end of dig it
ОтветитьYou know I know the beatles but ... ' never heard this number!!!
I had NO CLUE it was them..its been a LONG time since I have discovered something new to my ears by the beatles....
too bad this tune was relegated to b-side status - if it had been polished up some- maybe cut out some of the crooner mumbling and whatnot (sounds like the guys were just goofing off having a laugh and loosening up the band and thats cool but this song really could have been as ubiquitous as OB LA DI OB LA DA)
This B-side has everything their other hits had -just needs some polishing up ....almost in spite of (or more accurately because of) the limited lyrics and short repeating chorus&melody....it works
if nothing else this would be the perfect song on a movie soundtrack, picture a scene where someone is waiting on a call with "you know my name you know my number" playing in background for emphasis.. or in a commercial for a telecom company/cell phone ...i can picture this tune playing in some hipster iPhone advert... Apple is one of the few companies that has the requisite fanatical yuppie customer base that would financially reward such a cheesy move -AND the deep pockets for the HUGE licen$ing Fee$ for the rights to feature ANY Beatle$ $ong -while I have no idea how licensing works its conceivable they could get a relative bargain compared to the money they paid for rights to "here comes the sun" in one of their adverts years ago... seeing as 'you know my name/number' was never on a proper album release nor does it receive any radio play to speak of especially when compared to the rest of their singles which receive heavy radio play to this day...
You must have a limited understanding of music and perhaps songwriting as well to automatically assume that weird songs must be a product of drugs....By that logic, everything Mike Patton or Frank Zappa wrote were done on drugs
ОтветитьStill mono though.....
ОтветитьLearning the piano part. It's the best thing I've ever done.
ОтветитьThis doesn't sound like stereo to me.
ОтветитьThis isn't stereo...
ОтветитьBrian jones on saxophone
Ответить'you know my name you know my number what's up with you HA' is my favourite part haha and is it just me or does Paul sound very sexy when he's being Dennis o bell?
ОтветитьExcelente, me encantan!!!
Ответитьthis song is genius!!!!!
ОтветитьWhy is it when anybody is strange and creative they are said to be on drugs ? To those that don't understand,it's talent, not drugs. If creativity only came with drugs then every band would sell gold records. It just isn't so. Some have a gift and some do net.
ОтветитьAn underestimated classic. LOVE the jazz riff at the end!
Ответитьgo to your cellphone settings -> put to hide your number in your phone calls -> call someone -> put this song to play
ОтветитьUnfortunately this version is mono, not stereo as listed. The stereo renditions are far superior.
Ответитьi adore this fully and completely
Ответитьso love it!
ОтветитьI looked up the number, and the directory said "number 9, number 9, number 9..." AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThe burp at the end is totally epic
ОтветитьThis sounds interesting
ОтветитьAnyone who hates this song has no sense of humor.
ОтветитьEsta canción la escucho desde que era un niño ya han pasado mas de 40 años y aún sigo conectado con esta melodía. Gracias Jhon Lennon.
ОтветитьI had forgotten all about this one ....LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThis is actually my favorite Beatles song...
ОтветитьNever ceases to make me laugh and cry hysterically.
ОтветитьPaul as the crooner and John at the end, and Brian Jones from the rolling stones on sax.
ОтветитьDamn right, Paul McCartney was a huge Bonzo Dog Band fan, he played tuba on 'I'm the Urban Spaceman' and the Beatles featured the Bonzos as a guest band in the magical Mystery Tour movie. The crooner in this reminds me a lot of Viv Stanshall's parody. I'd love to know which Beatle did which voice on this song.
ОтветитьYes..., that was a belch. I first heard this song when I bought the 45 rpm single "Let It Be" back in 1970, and "You Know My Name ( Look Up My Number )" was the 'B' side. It's one of my favorite 'wacky' songs ever. lol
ОтветитьCouldn't agree more. I like song at face value brought me some entertainment as a "what the hell is this" moment.
Ответитьi think i agree that this song is not the best but i cant keep a straight face listening to this :)
ОтветитьSlaggers
ОтветитьAwesome song
ОтветитьYou're just expecting something really melodic, and then you hear this! xD
Ответитьvery bonzo dog!!
Ответитьshit, i forgot your name
ОтветитьDoes anybody else hear someone belch at 4:11?
Ответитьnobody comes close to the diversity of The Beatles
ОтветитьWho Cares
ОтветитьWho cares
ОтветитьExcellente chanson, et en plus c'est la bonne version...
Ответитьthis is sure as hell a lot more fun than Revolution 9. And only the first two minutes of mary jane were good!
