Thanks! The batteries seem to last long enough that I can never remember how to get back into the fobs. Mucho appreciate!
ОтветитьYep. Magic. Love this.
ОтветитьCR2032 Thank you for the excellent video straightforward to the point I love it. tip at the end I’ve been using for about a month. It actually works on multiple vehicles not just Subaru.
ОтветитьYou are a life saver!! I had a dead battery in my key fob and had to get my other one which took awhile to find........BRILLIANT. Now I know I can still start the car. Why doesn't the Subaru sales people show you that? Thank you!!
ОтветитьThank you sir, my fingers bulk had some fear of destruction, but I got it....just take your time and dont force anything..
For reference it's the same battery for your garage door opener..
I also accidentally set off my alarm
ОтветитьLove the alarm part lol. Thx for this info sir!
ОтветитьYou omitted the part about needing to press the small silver release button at THE SAME TIME you replace the key in order for the key to easily slip back in place and snap closed. I could NOT slip the key back in without pressing silver button at the same time.
ОтветитьOr just have Subaru do it for you and avoid a mistake that could cost thousands of dollars. Videos like this are what screw people more than help them. This broke my fob because it IS NOT how the new fobs open this is old.
ОтветитьThanks to your video “I did it, all by myself 🤣🤣🤣
Much Appreciation~~~
Thank you. Very helpful video!
ОтветитьI absolutely do NOT recommend using the screwdriver method. I've tried both methods. The key that comes with the fob is designed to give you the perfect amount of leverage so that you don't pop the top off too quickly. Using the screwdriver method is too unstable, cause the lid to go flying off as well as the spring inside the fob which got lost. Completely ruining an $80 key fob.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьGreat video. Perfect step by step explanation 👍
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI used the key to pry open the case and broke the metal thing with a spring inside. Its the push down part. I knowwwwww he said dont do it. But i did it :( 😂 i have 2 remotes and compared them side by side and they look the same. The broken side is hard to press the spring. Dont know why. It looks all intact. Anyway both remotes replaced the battery. One had a key with a lock the other can fall out at any time.
ОтветитьGOAT video
ОтветитьI have a 22 Crosstrek. I always wondered if a message would appear if the battery got low. It turns out it does. Time to replace.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThanks.
ОтветитьThank you 👍
Ответить@CarsSimplified i watched 2 videos before this, yours was by far the easiest and best. Ty
Ответитьwhat button do you push if battery is dead?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьThank you! Excellent demonstration, and what a great tip!
ОтветитьVery helpful. Thanks for taking time to post this.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьGreat video with clear instructions. Saved a trip to auto shop
ОтветитьShort and to the point, well done. Bonus for the outtake.
ОтветитьThanks for the help!
ОтветитьExcellent thank you. Be careful not to accidentally let the spring and button fall out like I did. It was easy to put back together. But, I didn't let it happen on the other FOB.
ОтветитьThanks for the tip!!
ОтветитьThank you for posting this.
ОтветитьThank you! This was so helpful.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьThanks so much!
ОтветитьThanks so much for this video, it is exactly what I was looking for. Actually, I went swimming with my FOB in my pocket, and needed to understand how to safely open it up in order to dry it out, since it stopped working. Changed the battery while I was at it, as the battery showed corrosion from the water around the edges. THANKS!
Ответитьwait.. what was the point of saying you put your foot on the pedal and press the button andbyou can still start the car it had already started didnt it?? sure sounded like it did, sure looked lije it did.. you said " foot off the pedal put the key end of the fob right on the start button and the whole car fired up.. then you went into this whole " put your foot on the pedal and press the button " thing but wasnt the car already running when you did that??? that was kind of confusing and im trying too wrap my brain around it... like you just told us two different ways to accomplish starting the car but didnt actually say... " here are two ways to start the car with a dead key fob" so is this two different ways or all part of the same way and if its the latter why was the car running before you even started the second part of the task???? i know your trying to help but that was as clear as mud.... but i did change the battery succesfully so thanx 🤷🤦
ОтветитьSimple and straightforward, thanks.
ОтветитьThanks for posting. I'm technically and mechanically inept and could not have changed the key fob battery without this video.
ОтветитьThank you so very much for this video! It saves me so much time and effort ❤
ОтветитьLove the battery-less start up tip!!!! brilliant!
ОтветитьWe set off the car alarm before we got to the end, where you had done it. Same reaction from the dogs!
ОтветитьMany thanks
ОтветитьI’m trying to get my key out and it won’t budge.. the button will push down but the actual key won’t come out. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьAwesome video!
