I am building a new website using Wordpress and (Elementor free version). I am new to both, because I used to use Yahoo's Site Builder tool (and Yahoo Webhosting) and they discontinued support. Even though my site really only has a partial Home page built with a slider (using Prime Slider) and very little content at this stage, my site is very slow to load. Speed test show a painfully slow result as well. I reduced the image sizes on the slider to K byte sizes (thinking that might be the problem), but has no effect.
I do have the W3 plugin already installed, but don't have it set up except what ever settings were active from the install.
Do I need to worry if I engage your suggested settings that the work I have done so far (even though very limited content) potentially could make my site not work or it may make things worse. Thanks and very well detailed video.
I am also wondering if Yahoo Web Hosting might be a bad choice for speed and willing to change. I really could use some advice. Thanks.

Do these setting changes take effect immediately or is there a time lag for all the settings to take affect to see a page load speed improvement. Thanks and well done video.

I was hesitant to follow this video over another tutorial with more subs... And I'm glad I followed yours! Straight to the point and I appreciate you going over certain sections if they are necessary. My site went from GTmetrix Grade from E (2.7-9.5s load time) to B (0.6-2.5s loadtime). SUBBED!

oh, this is ridiculous. Guys watch other w3 total caches videos as this one is a joke. He doesn't even explain the settings as he already set it up for him but then all he does is click the save button. Nothing but a joke.

This plugin is not compatible with elementor cloud...

Ooops! I downloaded this and when I brought my web page up... I discovered my site was compromised with some sort of malware. Coincidence? Certainly suspicious. Luckily I did a backup. After restoring, my site was back to normal, but slow. Maybe I'll try a different cache plugin.
