WoW is horrible at telling a cohesive story. Every expansion i lose track if the story and have to watch videos like this to even figure out what is going on.

all the characters look like power rangers of different colours and everything is about working together as friends and family, is this made for little kids? i think its very very lame and the conversations are cringe af, ill be playing for the gameplay, probably will be skipping every single cinematic and quest text, cant handle that much lame writing...

why are there taurens in the dragon isles calling us "outsiders"?

I just came back to the game after 3 years, did the story, and not sure what the shit happened, i only did campaign and i got so confused.

thank you i’ve been really confused having come back to WoW in this final chapter. so this was exactly what i needed. the only thing better would be to have the entire cinematic play with narration in between but honestly i’m very happy with this.

"Over 20.000 years of War is smoothed over offscreen". Blizzard storytelling at its finest.

We used to get 2 hour videos for a singular character, now a 20 minute video for an entire expansion. How the mighty have fallen blizzard.

So is the Shadowlands sealed off in terms of the story canon? As in we can never physically go there again, meaning we can't visit our loved ones after they die? I understand players can still travel there for gameplay reasons, but in the lore, the story, is it sealed permanently?

I quit playing during BFA when Blizzard completely ruined the Horde's storyline. Watched this to see what is going on with the Horde these days. Literally not mentioned once. Business as usual I guess.

I like that instead of making Vyranoth change her views on titan empowerment, Azeroth empowered her. Vyranoth has every right to be suspicious of the titans and she recognized that being an aspect will help assist in protecting so she accepted the power from a more natural source.

So is anyone else noticing that Alexstrasza now no longer has a male consort and that her and the ice primal are growing rather close and seem to have history?

I really hope they add an in-game way to go through the entire story of WoW in some future expansion. One canon telling that would cover everything important with speech bubbles or voice acting along with any needed cinematics. The universe has such fun lore but the methods of getting the stories are terrible in-game as so much has been removed, retconned or is in books/comics.

It’s so painful to hear “over twenty thousand years of war gets smoothed over off screen.” I’m just so exhausted by the lack of nuance or understanding of how actual people interact. I know it’s called World of Warcraft but we shouldn’t treat War Crimes like an infant accidentally dropping a plate.
