fell into one of these lakes before...and i did as instructed...you breathe very slowly, and the lava can't burn you...i tried to take a deep breath i got 3rd degree burns on my buttocks. you don't realize how hot it is till you're swimming through it. the key was breathing slowly.

I bet the first time seeing it in person is breathtaking. I didn't realize how big the lava bubbles were until I saw a person standing there for comparison and that person was still probably 500M away. That is insane, and completely AWESOME (in every sense of the word)!
