Six minutes in and we saw one large home. Why is it whenever you saw an older ranch home, you referred to it as a possible tear down? Wasn’t it big enough to be in Oakbrook? LOL. You didn’t mention that Mr. Butler, the man who founded Oakbrook was killed when standing in the middle of the road in the early morning hours while admiring his home. It was sad, but why was he in the middle of the road in the way early hours of the morning?

It used to be the town where all the rich people lived. Now there are so many other towns with massive homes that Oakbrook isn’t the end all be all. The Oakbrook homes are now rather old compared to the newer mini mansions popping up in surrounding communities.

Oak Brook and some of its surrounding communities are very affluent: Hinsdale, Western Springs, Clarendon Hills, to name a few. The whole area reminds me of the North Shore.
