How to make your engine run better with just tap water.......Better Than Seafoam?

Lots of problems .the cat will get plunged up , the piston rings will gum up ....and all the blow by the pistons will create sludge in the oil. This was a big problem during ww2 when piston aircraft used water injection for extra power. Dumb Ass.

Idk, I've been using Marvel Mystery Oil for 30 years. A large bottle is about $4 and I use it in my gas tank and oil. It provides excellent lubrication and sludge or deposit won't form. You can notice the difference. 👍🏻🇺🇸

This is a very bad idea. DON'T DO THIS TO ANY ENGINE IF YOU WANT IT TO KEEP RUNNING AFTER THE PROCEDURE!

Is this an NA engine or a turbocharged engine? does it work if u spray into the air intake of a turbocharged engine? cos I am asking becos the air has to go past the turbocharger and itnercooler first before getting tot he intake plenum and intake valves.

BTW seafoam has been tried and tested, check out Chris fix's videos' using a minicam to check the piston heads after using various products

I've been having trouble with my jaguar x type. Definitely a build up of carbon on the turbo vanes when I put my foot down was getting a over or under boost not sure which which puts the car into limp mode.
I've just done this trick today car is running better and no limp home mode.
Its a big yes from me.

Ive done this by adding water to my gas engine via the vaccum hose. About 1 liter of water and the engine really does feel smoother.

Why don't you just hook a hose from your radiator to your carburator. The water pressure will flush out the engine. Drive it, but, disconnect the bottom radiator hose and take of the oil pan bolt. Drive her for only 5 thousand miles... that'll work.

that leads me think that,.. would it be suitable also to put some coolant or antifreeze in the spray bottle and would it perform any better than regular water, or atleast distilled water i hear is recommended because of the minerals contained in tap or spring water

I know someone who did this with some water mixed with fairy liquid… the oil cap and breather got all gunky etc, guessing the soap seeped past the head gasket into the engine oil. Miles since it’s been fine, no burning oil or water etc so assume the head gasket is fine, just a little fairy liquid in with the engine oil 🤷‍♂️🤣

Ya, sorry, I'll spend the whole $15 for a can of CRC or Seafoam once a year rather than risk the damages water can do, including hydro-locking out the motor.

"This isn't a petrol engine..." There is no subsequent clarification about this point. Also, I am always wary of "How To" videos that begin with a video that shows someone's face on a phone stick video.

You can increase the reliabilty and lifespan of almost any vehicle by taking care of it and following the manufacturers recommended maintenance schedule. I use a program on my laptop called Automotive Wolf car care software (automotivewolf.com) that tracks and manages the schedules for all my vehicles. I currently have 3 cars from different manufacturers all with over 200,000 miles and running great.

If you're trying to clean your piston chamber, just pour the seafoam in you gas tank. DUH!!
This is more for trying to clean the backside of you valves and the intake manifold than anything else. If you have port positioned injectors the gas tank trick will do that too but you have to knownwhere your injectors are positioned.

Same as we did in our Main Engine on our ships. We just pour water on intake of turbocharger

Some changes i would make.. instead of water use a injector cleaner spray like B12 and hold the throttle open a bit while u spray.
