Stuff to know, if you don't wanna mess up:

It is not a car! It turns on the back wheels or on all four wheels, so it acts quite different.

Unlike this dude, get the pallet as close to the tower as possible, to ensure the center of mass of the loaded vehicle isn't moved out in front of the wheels.

If you are driving up or down an incline, think about whether to reverse or drive forward. What I mean is, empty forks should be facing downhill, and loaded forks should be facing uphill. Again, it's about center of mass. The counterweight is in the back of the forklift, so having the back facing uphill, when there is no load on the forks, keeps the center of mass over the wheels. If there is a load on the forks, you want the load facing uphill, to keep center of mass over the wheels.

Get it the habit of driving with the forks as low as reasonable. If there is a load on the forks, this is still about center of mass. Having the load as low as possible keeps the center of mass low, and lowers the risk of tipping over. Never make a turn at any speed with raised forks! Turning at speed with a high center of mass, is asking for accidents. Also, some fork lifts have towers that extend, so driving with raised forks is an easy way to ruin gates and other low clearance situations.
