Damn, were there any black people?
ОтветитьMy grandmother worked as a nurse during the great depression. and my real grandfather who worked for the New York railroad. abandoned my grandmother and my father and his two sisters. which left my grandmother as a single parent raising three children. my father would set traps to catch goffers before he went to school. and he would retrieve the traps after school for very little money. something that my father really hated. was would have to wear clothes that were handed down from his two older sisters. my grandmother barely kept the household running. but she did the best she could and they made it though the great depression. it was a pretty tough time and that's how the majority of people lived. and I hate to say it but we are headed for another great depression mark my words. because of the current administration. the Smoot Hawley tariffs were a substantial cause of the great depression. and the Trump tariffs will be a substantial cause of the next great depression. and this time it will be much worse than last time. and those are the cold hard facts.
ОтветитьPay attention, this is what's coming
ОтветитьMy mother, father and in-laws lived during the Depression era. Very hard times. I'm grateful they're not going to be around for this one! thank a republican for this one. Time to fix this disaster!
ОтветитьThis is what it would have been like if Kamala had won the election. Dodged a bullet there. 😂😂😂

ОтветитьMy parents lived through the depression and as one other commenter said my mom also became a hoarder. It’s sad to see those characteristics happen because of scarcity.

Ответитьmy grandparents said they bartered for a lot of stuff that they did not have and needed. everybody that had a yard plowed it up and had gardens for food and did their own canning. my grandfather helped manage a grocery store general store, meat locker and warehouse. he said desperate people would show up and ask for any kind of work just for some food or to sleep in a corner of the warehouse or boxcar just to get out of weather and cold. Grandpa and grandma did not talk about much crime though.
ОтветитьMy mother and father grew up during the Great Depression. One point that my mother liked to point out was that people really helped each other out during those times. This way of living continued on with these people until they died. Today, with decades of relative prosperity behind them, people who grew up after the Great Depression don't have that same mentality.😢
ОтветитьIt's coming again. Thanks Trump.
ОтветитьCame to New York in 1960. I was young but I remember tht.
ОтветитьNotice no one is overweight
ОтветитьMerci beaucoup pour l'histoire de Daily life during The Great Depression ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Millions of blessings,

Everything the government did to "help" made things worse. Always has, always will.
Ответить🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😝😝😝😝😝😝😝🍺, the great depression...That's corporations for ya
ОтветитьWhen the Great Depression and other huge catastrophes occurred, I used to believe that everyone went bankrupt, but they didn't... Some made millions; I also assumed that everyone closed their businesses during these times, but certain did start new ones. It all depends on your point of view; there will always be moments of prosperity for some individuals and times of depression or recession for others. My main concern now is how can we generate more revenue during quantitative times? I can't afford to see my life savings of $200k crumble to dust.
ОтветитьThis could never happen again because we would never prop up the economy with unprecedented levels of debt. Wait.
ОтветитьYes, and this one and all the other crashes were build, like all the wars. For the profit of a handful of greedy people.
ОтветитьTrump 2024❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉

ОтветитьI trust Jesus to lead me through the rest of my life.He has led me for 68 years, His grace and mercy, All the glory to God.
ОтветитьI'm sure most get their "history" by video, or "on - line" rather than books, every time I hear objective I'm so pleased. Today FDR is praised as if he, as he was during the years of the depression. However, virtually every single one of his acronym, alphabet labeled Federal government program made each segment of the economy worse, and made food, shelter, and clothing much, much worse. The Federal Reserve system was around in those days as well ran, and controlled by unaccountable bankers as it is today. I encourage those who care to look up Nobel prize winning economist Milton Freidman's work on the damaging effect of the Federal Reserve during the Depression. The Federal Reserve dried up the money supply much like this hellish AAA agricultural program made food much, much more expensive, and scarce. When democrats made decisions then as now the results are hellish upon all concerned, whether those they claim to assist, or those they steal from to pay for the scam..
ОтветитьWe're about to find out
Ответить"Hoover took office as his skills and experiences became irrelevant, and even a hindrance, to coping with the unprecedented economic and psychological crisis that befell the country" from the book "Richard Nixon, a Life in Full" by Conrad Black

ОтветитьWhite supremacy is anti-parity.
During the Great Depression; the, "inflation-monster," ate the generational-wealth of the new middle-class.
German; Irish, Italian, & Jewish people werent considered white yet.
WWIII is against the middle-class worldwide!
