Before I played that machine there were quite a few people around the game cheering and laughing and so one day it was free I thought I'd try a few pulls with my last 47 dollar ticket before I left I won the jackpot. I thought I learned something and still keep that.

They can’t be changed once setup without gaming commission. The commission puts their seal on them so they cannot change the odds.

I don't like how apologists explain "how slot machines work." Anyone who plays them, knows that you will see far more near misses than would be likely if the true laws of probability were being observed. What these experts know about, is how the laws are written, but they ignore the loopholes that the manufacturers rely upon to hook the gambler.

This may have been true in the 60’s it’s not now. It’s computer generated ai tech that follows you from machine to machine. If you get a big payout your next machines will be dead because they are taking it back. There is also certain times if the day/night/shift changes where the machines are designed to bonus then it is shut off quickly. Just as there are Indian scam call centers where half is scam half is legit working for b of a ect. Same with Chinese slot machines, the Indian casino gets higher cut so they are in bed together.

Question: If I play a machine with (lets say) apples and oranges, and I play all lines and make a $5 bet, would that same combination of apples and oranges come up on screen if I had only made a $2 bet? I realize the payout would be more with the $5 bet, but does the bet change the outcome of what comes up on the screen?

Here is my take
All combinations are pre-set as "arrays" meaning paylines.
All combinations equal the total number of spins or a cycle (where RNG comes from)
From all those combinations, it's decided the percentage or how many times will hit jackpot and other payouts.
I did program a single payline a long time ago, and here how I did
In 10 spins, i made to hit 1 time tripple 7s, 3 times cherries, and so on .which meant for 10 spins i hit 1 time 7s,3 times cherries and 6 spins are dead spins. When i changed the total count of spins to 1, every spin was tripple 7s

the par of a machine cannot be changed unless it is reprogrammed by a slot tech or it must follow within the parameters of the law, casino, and slot manufacturer if it's a networked progressive.

I will say that while slot machines don't have memory of previous spins, there is some math behind the likelihood of a winning spin happening... If you've had 10 losing spins in a row, it's less probable to keep getting losing spins each time you do it. Obviously there's still the exact same chance each spin, but if we're looking at streaks, probabilities change.

Like flipping a coin. Obviously the probability is 50/50, but the odds of landing on heads 10 times in a row is not 50/50. Not that I'm suggesting you keep dumping money into a slot machine if you've lost 10x in a row... but yeah.

I have a question. One time I walked up on a progressive jackpot and I bet the minimum and I won $500. However if I had bet the maximum the current jackpot was at 18000 dollars.

My question is this. Would the slot machine have paid me out the 18000 if I had bet the max bet? Or is it possible that at that particular moment the slot machine might have not allowed to win the max bet jackpot?
