I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 85K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% per year in dividend returns. Any advice?
ОтветитьI graduated from college with a business degree later, took some more accounting credit so that I could get into an accounting position with my state, but not actually as a CPA later I found how much I enjoy, watching, and learning about finance, and ability to help people with their finance their retirement and things like that I’m struggling with should I go back to school to focus on being a financial advisor how much overlap is there between accounting and the actual financial planning and helping of others? Something else I wanted to say after watching the rest of your video is that I want to be on your side of the financial planner not the selling side.
ОтветитьThank you for this. I'm interested in getting into the world of finance and am wondering ... which career/area of expertise would allow me to spend most of my time managing budgets (and I mean down to the mcdonalds order that may or may not be a wise use of funds) in order to help people and/or businesses thrive? Because that is what I enjoy doing most in this arena.
ОтветитьCough cough northwestern mutual cough cough
ОтветитьI am an accountant but I was one of the first in my family who got a bachelors. I went to a cheap state uni and no one around me seemed to mention public accounting. I ended up graduating not knowing the difference between industry vs public so I took the first job I was offered. I'm now 32 and I never did public and my income isn't where I want it to be. What should I do? I feel like I'm too old to do the 60-80 hour public grind, but I'm scared I'll never reach my financial goals. I'm halfway done with the CPA in hopes it will bolster my resume. Should I really try to cut it in public, or just double down on industry? I make 65k as a senior accountant but would like to make 100k.
ОтветитьGreat point guys!
ОтветитьI am a social worker in Australia, I want to do financial planner as a side gig, I am really good at money. What qualifications I need to do it?
ОтветитьGreat video! I’m currently pursuing a bachelors in finance with a concentration in financial planning and a minor in accounting. How do you find financial planning firms that pursue a consulting approach? Every advisor I’ve encountered takes the sales based approach.
Ответить"So they haven't worked in public accounting yet? .....ummm" that about describes it. It's a meat grinder
ОтветитьCPA Life...lol
ОтветитьOnly Brian can make a Tupac reference for CPAs.
ОтветитьI got a job at Fidelity and just passed my Series 7. For some of y’all wondering if you can get into the Financial Industry. You can! Most of my coworkers have random degrees or no degree at all. All you need are people skills!
ОтветитьThere two different things but one is interdependent on the other. Accounting is number transactions in real-time. Financial Planning is strategy and projections. They intersect when Accounting responsibilities move more into Financial Planning & Analysis ..both can lead to CFO role.
ОтветитьFeel like this video was made for me. I’m graduating soon with degree in accounting and finance and starting in public accounting. I know I’m not gonna stay longer than like 3 years but I also know financial planning is something I’d be interested in.
ОтветитьThis is the exact question I’m trying to answer, thank you!
