Do not pay
ОтветитьScam is big bad steal, fake and ignorant. Travel watch/stay away from scam person.
ОтветитьAI voice cloning scams won't work if you're bilingual.
ОтветитьTo be fair, I had to correct a (mostly correct) guide re prices for tours for the Statue of Liberty, to say that it is/was "three dollars more for the crown" (I had already bought the ticket, and it was indeed three dollars more for the crown than the pedestal or just to go to the island).
ОтветитьThe best thing to do about the AI phone scam is if you get a phone call from a number you don't know is don't answer. They also have a built in spam protector built in your phone and I suggest you enable it to block spam calls.
ОтветитьWe were at a small restaurant in the east 50's, and our bill should've been $75, instead we got a $159 bill. Why? There was a $5 a head surcharge for sitting on the patio, $1 for each glass of water, $10 surcharge for sharing a plate (even though it was huge and expensive) and a 15% gratuity compounded on the surcharges! I told her to take it back, and bring the correct bill, without the surcharges. They refused, I told them to go ahead and call the police, I wasn't paying it. Some nasty looking guys came out and tried to scare us into paying, I said no. Finally they brought the real bill. We would've left 18%, but hey, it was a mandatory 15%, so who am I to break the rules?
ОтветитьA man walks by, his bag hits your leg and breaks on the sidewalk, and he demands you pay.
ОтветитьI got a text for an unpaid parking ticket and I do not even own a car.
ОтветитьThe biggest scam of NYC is to visit it willingly
ОтветитьIt’s real easy to scare away scammers, say no once, if they persist, flash a weapon, my favorite is my pocket knife.
ОтветитьA guy in midtown try to sell fake apple products to me.
ОтветитьI notice them whenever leave work, I see these scammers and panhandlers specifically in Lower Manhattan. NYC is in the ditch due to bad economic and bad quality of life.
ОтветитьOk, look. I know the costume guys are bullshit, but I did set a price prior the pics.
ОтветитьLmfao, I saw one of those fake apple guys during my trip.
ОтветитьHow come nobody ever exposes the thugs and Times Square who dance and jump over each other then line up all the tourists and basically scare and demand money they ask you straight up for $50 if not, they embarrass you they go down to 2010. What they do to people and nothing is done to stop it. I had relatives here that were taken for $400. Yes, they’re morons but they fell for it.
ОтветитьI do want to point out to beware of official NYC cabs too. I got a $40 cab ride to my hotel. The driver asked if I wanted to pay with cash or card. I wanted to pay with my card, and he showed me this app on his phone called Square to pay with. I thought "OK, I guess this is how they pay for cabs with cards." Charged me $191.
ОтветитьIf you're buying items on the street, only buy from Crackheads. Everyone else is scamming; selling fakes. Crackheads steal RS and resell. Don't buy from opioid addicts. The products probably have traces of feces on it...🤷🏾♀️
ОтветитьThis idiot I work with, convinced half of his coworkers to buy the fake Apple products…. They thought they encountered The Sale of the Century…. THEIR watches looked cheap AF. When they tried to set up their watches, nothing would sync up…. They thought it was because of a weak Wi-Fi connection.. A few smarter co-workers tried to tell them, you bought fake products…. Even after all that they still didn’t understand that their items were fake….
ОтветитьYou know the biggest scam in our little city here in Michigan?
None, because everyone is genuinely friendly, helpful and caring. If someone was trying to scam people on the streets, they wouldn't be on the streets for long because the community would see to it this individual would suddenly have a serious accident.
Small town America is the life blood and heart beat of this great nation.
Ny is trash
ОтветитьAs a teenager we would go to canal and sometimes meat packing district just to watch the tourists get scammed. We sort of gave up trying to warn people because you just can't fix stupid
ОтветитьIn Brooklyn at the bank atm machine at night there are people sitting there once you take out money or put in they’ll ask for some money
Ответить😂😂😂 stupid NYC libs! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe CD guys asked me if I didn't want a CD because I'm racist. First time I was offended, by the 10th time that day I knew it's best to just ignore and don't break stride, if they block you speak in gibberish like you don't speak English.
ОтветитьOne of those illegal taxis approached me outside of JFK and when I declined, he tried to embarrass me and say I couldn't afford it. Damn right, can't afford it. I'll wait in the taxi line.
But.... From JFK to Stamford, CT is between about $80 - $100 with lyft. The taxi I got from JFK last time was over $300, refused to go over any bridge or area with a toll, took way longer, and also, charged more per mile outside of nyc. So, take lyft. Call 311 if your legit taxi sucks, too.
I had the donation scam happen in Seattle. Group of guys gave me a bunch of CDs, I attempted to tell them no, not interested and they angrily coerced me to give up my credit card when I said I had no cash and don't use those venmo or other crap apps. They said it was 20 bucks but they took 200 and CHIME, the shitty credit card company DID NOT HELP. I had a police report and they did nothing. Stay out of Seattle and Don't use CHIME.
ОтветитьNot long ago i was at Disney World and they try to charge me $3,5 for a water and 5 for a can of coke .. Disney magic!
ОтветитьAnother common scam is new york gas station attendants. When you pay for whatever you pay for and need change back, sometimes the person will keep your change or give you the wrong change if you’re not paying attention. These guys are usually indian 😂
ОтветитьMoskow metro vs new york subway
ОтветитьYou deserve more subscribers Bro, Thank you !!!
ОтветитьIn NYC, DON'T donate to anything. Nobody approaches anyone in NYC unless they're trying to get something from you. Simple.
ОтветитьYou sound like a tourist.
ОтветитьThese are not the Worst Scams in NYC...The Worst Scams are being done by DMV , DOE , HRA , ETC... ‼‼
ОтветитьIt's sad to see that so many Americans, and others who are visiting the city, have become so dumb that they still fall for these types of scams, ones that have been going on since, at the very least, the 1970s.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьDo you have a shred of common sense? You can skip this entire video.
Ответитьthis is a video of the most obvious shet in the world! why we even need this video is beyond me, on top of that a video every damn minute! and an ad blocking the comment box till you touch it... boooo
ОтветитьIn some situations, if they’re pushy, just stare them down and say you’re from here and they’ll usually back off. I had a hot dog vendor claim not to have change and tried to get me to buy 2 more hot dogs. I didn’t need anymore than the one for my sister and was going to different stores to find change. I was swearing and so close to walking away if I didn’t get change. I don’t need 3+ hot dogs. When I came back and gave him a $5, he pulled out a wade of small bills. Really wished I didn’t find the change and had walked away.
ОтветитьThe basketball team scam has been a thing since 2000
ОтветитьPeople should watch EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS. Lord.
ОтветитьThank you 🙏
ОтветитьWho ever buys expensive things in the street is dumb
ОтветитьI’m good with the shell game and three card monty. The guy asked me to get the ukfc away from him. I kept telling the people that the three of them were together. LOLOLOLOL I knew every time them tried to scam.
ОтветитьComing home from GA. I got scammed for $50. From a fake Uber driver. Which cost about the same of a real Uber. My concern is thank God, I got home save.
ОтветитьAs a new yorker, I strictly buy things that “fell off the back of a truck”. If the person doesn’t get that reference, they don’t get the money 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьPeople know it’s fake and still buy ..
Ответитьhow gullible and trusting are people, getting nickel and dimed by a child of a lesser God,, dont trust anyone, its a golden rule
ОтветитьI live in Los Angeles and got the toll scam text. It might have worked, except I don’t drive and don’t have a car!
ОтветитьWatch at Bodega /Deli owned by arabs , they scam at night if they see you a little drunk
