Graduated in 1973. Loved the sixties and seventies music. Mom and dad never knew, at least they didn't let on. I used to now and then hitch rides to high school. Sure wouldn't do it in these years. So carefree back then
ОтветитьI remember that song in 1980's hearing and was so cool

Late 60s to mid 70s young America was on the road, on the move. Great experiences; even the slow waits were part of it. Met some nice people . Good times.

ОтветитьHitchin rides was so common back then. I picked up many hitch hikers. My mom picked up a woman one evening and the next morning the cops knocked on our door. Apparently the woman had robbed the hotel, that made my mom the get-away driver.

ОтветитьI wasn’t a fan of Vanity Fair back then (1970-ish), but they played a local venue in Scotland, and since there was nothing much else on, I went along to see them. It was a dance rather than a concert. They were brilliant. Very tight, great harmonies, worked the audience well, and we all had a great time. Also not too loud. I liked them a lot more after that.
