One thing you might take for granted coming from Singapore, and might be an issue depending on where in the US you're looking at, is what percent the local Asian population is there.
There is a reason why the diaspora in non-Asian countries tends to concentrate together in specific cities/metro areas, and that is safety in numbers. Deviation from that is a risk.
Aside from the more surface level lack of Asian dining, Asian social/dating, Asian markets, etc. you also have the very real possibility while in the wrong location of getting Vincent Chin'd.
Don't let anyone assure you they have your back. End of the day they look and sound like them, and you look and sound like you. They have no skin in the game, so look out for yourself first.

I think you might've answered your own question, about if you think you should move to the states for work or not, even for a short time. You'll just have so many more options to connect, collab, do new things, meet new people, and grow your channel and community. It's definitely worth considering, for sure!
