The 'parts tree' you mentioned is called a sprue. When the nocks are molded, they're molded onto a sprue. And any self respecting modeler uses nippers to cut the parts off. No bending or twisting, to avoid breakage or twisting. I imagine the knocks are done the same way for the same reasons.
ОтветитьThanks for the upload
:)
Missed Dr. Suess moment: "Lots and lots different kind of nocks."
ОтветитьOh no... all my arrows have the double nocking nocks...
Just curious - where do you buy your archery equipment from? Amazon? Lancaster?
Yeah like right I guess what ever you believe that makes you shoot different is placebo.... the placebo effect is real
ОтветитьJust came on board and subscribed , I’ll have to back track your videos to see how much I missed ! Found out how little I knew about nocks !
ОтветитьI feel like I saw small groove g nocks at shop
ОтветитьHolly Smokes! This is some knowledge.
ОтветитьVery informative thanks Jake. I've learned so much just watching and listening to your explanations.
ОтветитьJake... about Beiter Nocks..you can be sure that all out of any single bag you have are out of the same cavity as there is only one.... next bag you buy these all will be out of the same cavity... and Beiter produces by far less nocks than any us or chinese brand... so same bag ...same cavity:)
Ответить...about asymmetrical nocks... any style of shooting with "split fingers" (called a Mediterranean Grip) - even Coaches Lee ! - will be asymmetric in release as the middle finger will always be the last leaving the string... cause it is the longest. .therefor in release the string will fit asymmetrically...😏
ОтветитьSorry I discovered the channel today..so I have some to say about it☺️... NEW INFO: the Beiter 4,5/1X nock is fitting over Pins as well...so no issues of breaking arrows as much as in the past
ОтветитьHard nocks.Accunocks.Nock nocks...
ОтветитьThe Beiter Hunter pin nock is symmetrical. I shoot them with my compound bow with a d-loop and release aid. They are super high quality.
ОтветитьI am pretty sure that poor nock cavity discipline is the reason I can't make the Olympic archery team.
Ответитьgreat presentation, thanks for all the info.
ОтветитьWhat pin nock bushing fits in the recurve rz??
Ответитьwhat a good explanation !!
ОтветитьI can't get pins to tune at all. The bareshaft with pins always comes out super stiff. Tried spines 900 through 500 (shooting 37# oly recurve). Every arrow with a pin nock was incredibly stiff, f nocks gave results you'd expect (i.e. weak to stiff as I worked through spines). Any help?
ОтветитьI need to find new nocks for my daughters hunting bow because it's short and has a high string angle the mock pops half off when she pulls back.🤔
ОтветитьBut if you buy stuff online how are we going to be able to know what cavities the nocks are from until we get them thru the post? what does one do? send them back and say you sent the Nock from the wrong cavity number?
ОтветитьWhat is the pin nock version of the Bohning F nock?
ОтветитьI noticed during the world championships that almost all recurve archers are shooting the over nocks.
Maybe they give a slight performance edge and are easier to see down range but they look so un-aerodynamic and clumsy.!
Hi Jake,
This is a fantastic video on nocks and I learned a lot from it. Made so much sense. Thank you. So at the end you recommended the 1370119 19L nocks to be the best in your opinion but then, does it not have bigger ears which would cause problems as you mentioned earlier in the video. I got a little lost there. I am looking to replace my Easton super nocks for RX-7 21 arrows. Please advise.
Nocks in box. Box with nocks. Slick trick putting nocks in box. Slick trick putting nocks on arrows. Slick trick carrying nocks in box and box in barrows. Fox can carry nocks in box and box in barrows.
ОтветитьYes, I am picking at nits.
"Adding weight to the back of an arrow stiffens it." I think it will make the arrow perform more like a stiffer arrow, but if you put the arrow on a stiffness gauge it will be the same number. Yes? No?
what do you mean by finger shooters my friend?
ОтветитьThanks Jake! Looks to me when doing the side by side comparison of the Beiter Pin Nock and the Beiter Out Nock that if you moved the X-10 with the pin nock so both shafts were even, the extra length of the 'fitting' of the pin that is against back of shaft would just about make up the 'extra' length of the Out Nock. So it is more of a weight benefit than being much longer. Seems too bad Easton just doesn't make an X-10 slightly longer in the back half. Assuming that would be superior to just increasing the weight of tip or length of shaft. Was surprised that your top indoor nock was one that fit into uni-bushing and not a pin nock. Seems larger diameter arrows at closer distances increases risk of damage. Not sure it would offer same protection as a metal pin, but wouldn't a carbon pin be much lighter, is there such a thing?
ОтветитьThese hard brittle plastic nocks break all the time, why can I not find soft materials that don't shatter?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьNever know about cavities! Thank you.
ОтветитьHi Jake, if you don't mind me asking, when you shot beiter nocks, did you also shoot beiter nockpoints?
ОтветитьWhat size nock would you suggest for a 20 strain recurve bow string?
ОтветитьJake you are a Whizz Superstar. Thank you for that massive download of information & knowledge in a format that is easily understood & just as important, 'remembered! Cheers.
ОтветитьI learn alot about nock from this video.Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat video! Question for you... In my NTS coaching training the folks all the way up to Coach Lee have consistently advised finger pressure as 20% top, 70% middle, and 10% lower.
1) Have you heard or been taught differently?
2) If the numbers above are accurate, then wouldn't that result in a string angle more consistent with the Beiter asymmetrical nock?
I really wish the Manufacturers would mark on the Packages what types of bows/Strings, speed, and poundages these nocks are best for. Not everyone is an expert in all of this. So someone shooting a Hunting Compound Bow has different nocks than someone shooting an Olympic RECURVE Bow. Or like you were showing the Asymmetrical vs Non-Asymmetrical.
Ответитьwhat if you use the beiter asymmetrical nock upside down? since there is more pressure on the index finger, the string would be leaning back, and the upside-down groove shape should then help?
ОтветитьDo plastic nocks need to be glued onto aluminum pins, or is it just a force-fit?
Ответитьbro you gotta make smaller videos make parts 1 2 3 4 5 if ya got to but peoples attention spans cant stick with such long content u kinda drag stuff out love ur stuff might help u draw more people to archery
ОтветитьConsidering the inaccurate nature of the string this is difficult to believe.
ОтветитьIs it still true that FITA doesn't allow magnetic nocks (Mag Nocks)?
ОтветитьCertainly wasnt confused every time you said "nocks".
ОтветитьComplicated? Gee Louise, that's a major understatement!
ОтветитьDude, you are too all over the place and it makes it to hard to follow.
ОтветитьYes, i missed a shot due to cavity mixing, on my last gnat safari.
ОтветитьThanks for this video Jake , I'm a pin nock user only, for my shooting
ОтветитьJake what Is the Best Nock for 70 mts? 🙏🏼🏹🎯
ОтветитьVideo is way too long.
